Snape and Lupin are trying to be "friends." What's that like? This is a sequel to my story, "The Hardest Words," and will make more sense if you've read that one first.

my catalyst into the world of hp fanfic was the ignominious death of severus snape by snakebite in dh. grrrrr. he deserved better, and i set off on a mission to find it! i appreciate and admire the vast and limitless creativity of all of the wonderful writers on this site and in this fandom.
accordingly, for me it's mostly about snape: ss/le, ss/hg, ss/rl are my favorite ships. i especially like happy endings for those who did not get them at the hands of jkr.

Again, this is very nicely written. I'm also really enjoying your portrayal of these two characters. The banter is priceless. And let's not forget about the smut ... Very hot too!!!!I'm so happy there's a sequel! :)

i'm so happy you are enjoying this series! i wrote the first story and thought it was done, but the characters would not leave me alone, and in the end, i'm very glad they didn't. :)

thanks so much for your kind words! you've put a smile on my face this morning. :D
This was a wonderfully bittersweet story. I loved it because it was a love story between equals and contemporaries for a change, people with a common history and even some common memories. Not a May/December love story of the SS/HG variety no matter how romantic. I would really like to see it progress and the relationship survive. Well done.

thank you so much for this lovely review! you put your finger on exactly why i find ss/rl so compelling (and even prefer it to ss/hg). fyi, i plan to post a christmas companion piece to this story for the yule challenge.while this version of events is basically canon compliant and therefore inherently sad, i promise i will do my best to write something in the future that has a happier outcome for these two.you put a happy smile on my face this afternoon.
that was very sad, but lovely all the same. :)

thanks so much for your kind words. when i started writing it, i didn't realize it would be so sad, as i wasn't entirely sure where it was going, but it did end up in a very sad place, indeed.
Funny, sexy, and heartbreaking at the same time - this was a wonderful sequel, dear, and I enjoyed reading it very much. Now you have to find a way to save them both, of course!

i'm so glad you enjoyed it. knowing you were interested in reading the sequel definitely spurred me on to finish writing it, so thanks for that, too!yeah, i'm thinking my next snupin will be totally au so they can have a happy ending instead of all this heartbreak.
