A published Aussie author for a number of years now, I decided to dabble in the waters of HP fanfic for the first time. I hope my stories are acceptable.
Reviews for End of the Matter
Oh, a little HG Wells meets the Twilight Zone. Karmic justice for Old Tom Riddle. Nicely done!
When I was midway through this I wondered why someone had written about Voldemort surviving, it wasn't until I got a few paragraphs further down that I realized the perfect irony of the situation. He finally had immortality and was ruler of the world, but it was a dying world that all human kind had left long before. Earth had become just like Mars and the scorpion whose body he inhabited would soon starve to death. When that happened, would 'He Who I Find Most Tedious & Tiresome' become a piece of cosmic dust to wander in space for eternity? This is a very thought provoking piece.
Most inventive! And a fitting end for "the most powerful wizard in the world." Thanks for writing!
Ah, poetic justice! The price of immortality is nothing less than everything that makes life worth living. An interesting and unique ending. Thanks.
So cleverly poetic. That is true immortality! Excellent!
A very fitting end for such a cruel and heartless beast. I loved it. Thank you.
I am thrilled to be the first to review this original and wonderful tale! A horcrux made unknowingly protected him 'till there was no one left to conquer, nothing to rule. Brilliant! great poetic justice
Well, he's finally Supreme Ruler of the Planet...as a scorpion.

Thanks for that! Yes, I think that what people don't realize when they say they want to live forever is that it's ... forever. Not just 2 or 3 hundred years down the track, but eternity. I suppose once the scorpion dies, Moldywart will be doomed to wander the empty wastes as a bodiless spirit. *shudder*Alison
