If she doesn't shut up now, then...
That was a sweet little piece of writing. Loved it.

Thank you very much. I'm so pleased you enjoyed it!
She did it again! As I wouldn't say anything nice about her, I won't say anything at all. What a heart-rending read. Don't laugh at me but it brought tears to my eyes. What she told him this time might either kill him or actually give him the chance to heal. *hugs Sev* *applauds star_girl*

Thank you so much for reviewing. It's wonderful that you found it emotionally engaging. I am not the biggest Lily fan either, but I felt it was important to show that she also had regrets about what happened. Hindsight is 20/20 vision, as they say, and I am sure armed with the knowledge of all Severus had been through, she may have had the realisation that she probably married the wrong man. I was trying to show that she made a mistake, too, by pushing him away, and she knew it. Whether that ultimately hurts Severus more, or gives him some kind of peace, I do not know. Like you, I hope for the latter. Thanks again for reviewing.
Oh, how sad, but a cleansing kind of sadness. I imagine that these tears can finally wash away his guilt so that he may get on with his life -- so that he can finally have a life.Beautifully written. I teared up myself as I read it.

i like this. i like the idea of lily giving him some comfort from beyond the grave. maybe if he knows she did love him, he will be able to feel worthy of more and so will be able to move on. i appreciate what you have done here.

Thank you so much, that was my intention! So glad you took it that way!

You know how I loathe St. Lily, now I loathe her even more. He deserved a lot better than her. If she loved him why wouldn't she accept his apologies? I hope the OFC you have planned for him is worthy of him.And as usual, I have to ask will this have some good smut? You write it so well and you know how much I enjoy it.

Oh trickie, love ya!
Response from Trickie Woo (Reviewer)
I didn't notice that it was complete. When will we get more of Snape and Sarah? he needs to have someone love him and he deserves to have the love of someone he loves.
Response from star_girl (Author of Expiation)
When my muse comes back! She's abandoned me! Hopefully soon though.

*growls* Well thank you, Lily Evans, for breaking his heart once more. *wants to write nasty words* I so don't like that woman!Sorry for the little out-break, sweetheart ;-)/M

She needs to take some responsibility, that's for sure!

OMG! That was gut-wrenching! *compliment* I think that's worse than her saying that she only ever loved him as a friend. I don't know how he'd ever recover. Very interesting take. He was also the first person I thought of when first they mentioned the resurrection stone!

Thank you, so pleased you enjoyed it. They key is that Lily is the one that takes the blame for pushing him away.

Lily was a hard enough act to follow without this revelation. Interesting start, I can't wait for more.

Most kind, glad you enjoyed it. This is only a one-shot however, forgot to mark as complete. Thanks again.

This is such a tragic account. Poor Severus -- will his poor heart ever be able to heal... Perhaps Lily should have kept her revelation to herself until such time as they might be together beyond the Veil.
Response from star_girl (Author of Expiation)
Thank you for popping by. I felt it was important for Lily to take some of the blame. Alas, in death she is tied to James, so even beyond the veil they cannot be together.
