An Early Start
Chapter 2 of 9
Ladymage Samiko"Nobody had needed to tell Severus that the pitter-patter of little feet could be a pain in the arse…" For the GS100 'Snape's Birthday' challenge.
An Early Start
Nobody had needed to tell Severus that the pitter-patter of little feet could be a pain in the arse; he'd known that for decades. So it came as no surprise that, though he loved his children dearly, there were times when he could cheerfully transport them to some distant continent— Australia, perhaps.
Early mornings were a particular bête-noire. And the sounds coming from downstairs were horrendous. What the devil was Hermione thinking?
The bedroom door opened, and the two miscreants appeared at his bedside.
"Happy birthday, Dad! We made you breakfast in bed!"
A tiny smile. "Thank you, Turia, Titus."
AN: This emerged from a holiday spent in the company of two small children— one of whom wanted to wake me up for morning playtime.

Sweet, poignant and wonderful series of drabbles, thank you.
oh. my. GOD.
poor severus. poor hermione. but mostly poor severus!
As I hufflepuff I welcome the Snapes to the house of the badger!
awwwww a double wedding? How sweet is that?
KNowing Hermione I am sure she has a fund set aside for mental health.
Hehehe, their kids never seem to be put in Hufflepuff. It's a rare thing to see. Though thinking on this now I can kind of see how it would be possible. Though I bet it would be hard for Severus to accept at first. hehehe.
haw! thanks
lovely! thanks
That's not very nice of you. He is an old man and could have had a heard attack you know.
LOL! Severus' children were Hufflepuffs? That would be a hard pill for him to swollow!
So Turia married Lennart... who is Lucius' son by Scorpius' au pair? Then Titus must have married a Potter or a Weasley for Severus to feel this way. Hummmm... or perhaps he is just sad to see his children marry and leave home... or maybe he's upset that Turia married a Malfoy, and a bastard son of a Malfoy to boot.
Off to see what happens next!
Beth
eat those words! thanks

*rofl* WHAT an idea! Does the Queen know about Wizardfolk, I wonder? ;o)
Author's Response: *grin* I like to believe the Windsors _are_ wizards, actually. After all, the queen's cool in all other sorts of ways, so why not this one? :-P
Is that his first displau of magic? I'm a bit disapointed. Surely he should have some before the age of six.And who's marrying PRince William? I'm sooo curious.
Response from Ladymage Samiko (Author of Events Unfold)
^_^ I don't think it's his first display, merely his most publicly embarassing one. I imagine in about 6/7 more years, Turia won't let him hear the end of it. :-PAnd I'll admit I don't know the royal gossip well enough to propose P.W.'s mate. Perhaps some obscure European royal completely out of the blue? Or maybe a previously unknown Malfoy? (*grin*)
what a hoot! i can just see it! thanks

Lovely! Of course he wouldn't see any beauty in his own eyes, would he? Poor sod. But Titus, with his nose and her hair - that's a hard fate indeed *giggles*.
you do such a nice job with your carefully chosen words - this series is such a riot - thank you for sharing your work
With such children to be proud of, Severus must be feeling better about himself.
A great daddy moment for a dad in training. :)
I'd hate to be the teenaged boy trying to date Turia. :) Very nice sequel.
Not so incredible, Sev. :)
