Aww. My word woman, have you no pity on us poor unsusceptible readers? I'm crying now and makeup will need to be reapplied! Honestly! Muggles like me don't have wands you know! Let's just say this is a brilliant response to the prompt. I loved it.

Lovely, but sad.

Thank you! Sad, apparently, is what I do best. ;)

Oh, Lariope, this is beautiful! Such evocative use of language, and such sadness. A fascinating concept also, and your rendering of it raises all sorts of speculations--how did he find her in the first place, why doesn't he reveal himself, is remaining in raven form causing him to start to shed his touch with his real form, what comfort does he give her, and why does she grieve?Exquisite.

I loved your questions,

, particularly the one about the distancing between himself and humanity when he's in bird form. I'm fascinated by that bit of animagus-theory. I actually stole a bit of the idea for this story from a Marauder/Animagus fic I was writing before SL hit me like an oncoming train. I'm glad it raised questions for you, my dear. Thank you so, so much for reviewing. I'm so glad you liked it!

Absolutely beautiful. It takes a truly great writer to speak so powerfully with so few words. I loved the vivid, simple images: the crack of a seed, the ragged petunias, the crumpet on white china... Lovely. There was sadness in this, but a sense of peace, too. I'm glad Severus has finally found some freedom.

Lydials, this is one of the most touching reviews I've ever received. Thank you. I'm so glad those images meant something to you. And I'm glad you saw sadness AND peace. xoxoxo
