A very short, but intense story, very well written. All our lives are guided by choice, she chose to betray her friends, she chose to pick at the sores, then she chose to sell her soul to Voldermort; so it must be all Hermiones fault.

I wonder if people that do cruel things or chose the wrong path while in their adult life would have done the same if someone had been nice with them when they were kids. The feelings here are wonderfully written. Very well done.
