In the book I kind of felt like there was no real closure to Snape's death. By writing from his perspective, I tried to bring it some kind of peace. I think at this point he didn't have much he wanted to live for. In this respect, death for him was "the next great adventure" (not that Snape needs anymore adventure haha)
