A drabble inspired by the Russian fairytale Snegurochka, in which the Snow Maiden, enamored of a mortal, wishes to feel love, but melts the moment she does. A similar scenario between Snape and Lily, in reverse.

I love it. Just wonder if you can explain to me what the title means.

My summary probably didn't explain perfectly, so I'll try to elaborate. My original summary was, "A drabble inspired by the Russian fairytale Snegurochka, in which the Snow Maiden, enamored of a mortal, wishes to feel love, but melts the moment she does. A similar scenario between Snape and Lily, in reverse." Snegurochka is the name of the Snow Maiden.I especially liked this as a title because not only did I draw inspiration from the fairytale, but in the Russian translation, Professor Snape is called Professor Snegg, which is similar to the word for snow, "sneg." It's a twisted chain of thought, but it's probably what originally led me to make the connection. That aside, I'm so glad you liked it!

Oh that's sad.

Good sad, or bad sad?I tried to be faithful to J.K. Rowling's history of Snape, which I think was very sad. I hope I did not overly dramatize the situation.
