There is nothing so sweet as forbidden fruit.
I like the idea that these two would be lost after the war. Very poinant.

"This small square of sin..." caught my eye. The entire piece is beautiful, but this line makes me wonder. Who says it's a sin? It's preceded by the line about Molly, what would happen if she found out. And then that nobody approves. There's a lot here in just a few sentences. Since we have no other information, it's got me thinking. What exactly makes this a sin? To me, it's certainly not. To most readers, it's not. What about these two, specifically, makes this act between them a sin? And does Hermione believe that it is?
Now you're gonna make me think about this all day. Please write a second one, that is either past or future from this event, so I can understand. LOL! Sorry! I tell readers of some of my stories, "The ambiguity is what's important, it's what your imagination supplies." But I guess I don't like it when I have to supply the answers!
Thanks for this. Making someone think so much with only a few words is a gift.
Author's Response: Hmmm, I'm glad I could set you to thinking, because now your review has set me to thinking. I've written a few bits and pieces about Hermione and Sirius and there's always this underlying sense of - well - if not sin - then something forbidden. And, now that you've questioned it, I have utterly no explaination for it. I don't have that with Hermione/Severus, so it can't possibly be the "Age Thing". I'm going to have to go off and cogitate over this one...
well that's one reason for bonking!

Indeed. *raises eyebrows and grins*

I don't think this is wrong since she's of age. And if their friends can't accept it so they're not good friends.

I agree with you, personally, but a lot of people just take one look at age differences (etc) and freak out. It's quite irrational, in my not-so-humble opinion.

"This small square of sin is all that keeps them sane." What an evocative phrase. I loved this one.
Phenomenal. I really love your drabbles.
