Winner for the Anything Goes Challenge's One Shot Category! The marriage law turned out to be a disaster, and now couples are getting divorced as soon as possible. Severus Snape and Hermione Granger are looking forward to it – they only have to come to an agreement about their possessions, which isn't an easy thing.

:-) Thanks!
I enjoyed this very much, both that they planned out the scenario and that the Minstry sends the newbies out to give it a try. LOL Cute

Thank you so much! And they are certainly used to the Ministry's attention, so not much planning necessary...

Fantastic story, I loved it.

Great take on the prompt. I loved it!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
I'm glad to hear that, as the prompt clearly askes for a more bitter Snape, one that has to make an effort to keep his wife. But then, I said I twisted it a little bit ;-)Thanks for reviewing!

This is absolutely hilarious. Do I dare say Poor Miss Parkinson? Naaa. *evil grin*.
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
She earns every kick in the bottom. And can you imagine her face when she realises that a Slytherin is happily married to a Gryffindor? Shortly before Snape kills her for her attempt to take his children away? Thanks for reviewing!

You may have twisted the prompt, but you did it so superbly, so amusingly, that I must forgive you for it straight off. Soooo funny! I must stop reading late night fan fiction, I have to stop myself from waking the family with laughter. Wonderful!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
No, no, don't stop doing it ! Waking your family with laughter, that is - it is one of the best ways to wake the family ;-)Thanks for reading, reviewing, and forgiving!

Awww! Sweet! They do put on a wonderful show to keep from getting divorced. Wonderful banter between the two. My heart actually went out to poor Carlyle a few times. The babies were the perfect ace in the hole, so to speak. Accidentally threatening their offspring is bound to be the scariest thing Carlyle will ever do! a Miss Parkinson. Slytherin, and a real bitch by hearsay. In a year or so, the boss will tell her to hand over the divorce papers.~Sports a slowly unfurling evil grin.~
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
Thank you so very much! I must admit, I like Carlyle as well - that's why he got out there unharmed. But Pansy... can you imagine her face when she sees who's married to whom and their reaction when she wants to take the babies?*grins. evilly*

Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
Phew. I'm glad you do. I think I couldn't write a story where they really hate each other! Thanks for reviwing!

Hilarious! I love the way they are the only MLC surviving couple. Pansy is toast.

I love how you hit each of the prompts. It is very funny how they "initiate" the newbies. LOL!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
I considered it a good way to teach them about real life ;-)Thanks for reviewing!

Too funny! I love Gemma's explanation. One can only wonder what the fireworks will be when it is Pansy's turn to serve the papers!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
Anyone touching their babies or trying to hand them over to foster parents? Pansy is toast! Thanks for reviewing!

*chuckle* That was cool. I almost feel sorry for Miss Parkinson. Not quite, but almost. I doubt anything could be scarier than Sev and Hermione united and angry.
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
Oh, yes, one thing: united, angry, and protecting their babies. Pansy is as dead as a dodo, I think :-)Thanks for reviewing!

This was just wonderful!Great use of the prompt, and you've nailed both characters precisely.
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
Erm... *blushes*Doesn't "to nail" mean something different? Anyway - thanks for reviewing! I had a lot of fun writing it and I couldn't refuse the call of the prompt.
Response from StormySkize (Reviewer)
lol ... well, yes, 'to nail' someone can refer to a sexual encounter, but I was actually going more for 'hitting the nail on the head' or getting something exactly right!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
*g* Thought so. couldn't refuse thinking about a different sort of nailing. Dirty fantasy and things, you know...

Oh that was wonderful. I was totally not expecting that when I first started reading, but absolutely loved it by the end. I'm almost sad we don't get to see when Pansy goes later, but it's still wonderful as is.
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
I'll leave that to your imagination. But she won't get out as unharmed as Carlyle...Thanks for reviewing!

this is fantastic. utterly fantastic. I went back and reread it from the beginning, and it all works out perfectly. all the humorous clues were there to begin with and we just misinterpret them!!! fabulous!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
That was my intention. This story was inspired by another on answering the same prompt. There, they do hate each other, and I disliked it. So I came up with that. Thanks for liking - and reviewing!

This was wonderful:) Fun and snarky but with the genuine affection and care between the characters that is the hallmark of the best Serverus/Hermione stories:) Well done:)Warm regards,Fizzabella

Thank you - I think I haven't written a story yet where they really hate each other.

Brava! Brava! Brava!
I loved it. Every word!
Perfect build up, from Cara, to the babies, to the reveal that they really love each other!
Response from chivalric (Author of Divorce)
Now Cara is actually a real dog and currently chases rabbits in her dreams. Her snout is greying, I love her dearly, and I couldn't resist to put her into the story :-)Thanks for reviewing!
