She can’t help it. She never has been able to. She can’t help watching him. She can’t help fancying him. She can’t help anything.

Hello, I really liked reading your story. it is very unique, very plausible and you definitely added your own thoughts to the book without going out of canon or character. Wonderful! If you would have this published on FF.net, I could store it in my "missing scenes" collection.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you found it to be all of those things!
I'll be updating my ff.net page sometime next week, I think. I'll try to remember to drop you a line here or something when I do so.
Thanks again!

Very sad. Too bad the magical world doesnt believe in therapy. Think how that could have helped even in small ways. Now I am depressed. I am off to find fluff Ms. Angst!
Response from Gelsey (Author of Can't Help It)
I know. Therapy would definitely help -- I can just imagine what might happen in the post-war world :(
Lol awww. Sorry! I has issues with writing teh fluff ;)
Thanks for reading and reviewing!

This is a really, really well done missing scene, I think. I'm just re-reading DH and read the scene some two days before. Your story really catches the feeling and the tension between the characters, it works well this way. I'm missing a bit of Albus' character in your tale, but of course it's difficult to imagine how he's really been at this point and age.
Author's Response: Thank you so much! I had to reread parts of DH to get the feel of it that I wanted.
Albus was absent a lot during this time, I think. Busy with his studies and with Gellert and such. :D

This is so original and wonderful! I love it, even though it's sad. So well done, you've taken a bit of Canon and made it your own.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. For some reason Ariana just started whispering in my ear :)

Interesting take on the life of Ariana. I think you caught the teenage puppy-love crush very well.

Thank you! I'm glad the crush came across clearly. Thanks for taking the time to read and review.

I tend to stick to SSHG in pleasure-reading, but I'm seriously happy I picked this up in the queue. This is an excellent snapshot of how I imagine Albus's younger sister from canon. Very eery, yes, but excellent!

Wow, I have never read anything like this... seeing things through her perspective and the telling of this story. This is a very good idea and I totally buy her having a crush on him. Good job.
