I've wondered for quite some time what would've happened if Severus hadn't got the mark and stayed with Lily, what if Harry had been their son instead of James'. Maybe this is the beginning of everything. Also wonder who "The tall wizard with the crooked nose" is? I can't see any other wizard apart from Severus with such a nose.

Awwww. Sweet! So  they get married and have a son with really messy black hair and green eyes and they defy Voldie three times and...Hey, wait a minute! Severus still ends up dead! No, no, no. SSHG, it's the only way to go.

I'm trying to imagine our tragic hero in a life where he got the girl, didn't make the drastic choice to join Tom, but then what happens?One might imagine him to live a happy life, but on the other hand it's like he never was, without all the tragedy... therefore a one chapter story! Glad to see he was still snarky and charming at the same time though.

a very sweet and lovely world you dreamed up, which we never would have known we wanted to have if things had not unfolded the way they did in that other world. it's nice to see such a simple happy ending for these two. : )

What a lovely alternate universe you weave, my dear!  So nice to have James keep her company until she was ready to return to her one true love....  And, as some of the others have written, in this world we would never have had the angst and drama and romance and tragedy we get in so many others, but Severus would have been happy, and that makes it worth dreaming.

I've not read much LE/SS, so I'm no expert on this genre, but I did like this story because I like it when Severus gets the girl.  Well done!  I haven't read anything by you that I didn't like.Beth

Whenever I read LE/SS, I always think how I just cannot picture a grown-up Snape doing these things for Hermione, and it makes me sad. I guess I'm just a dedicated SSHG shipper...

Very good. I see it's completed but I wish we could delve into what changed Sev's mind and had him joining the DE's afterall. Ah well... I suppose there are other tales that go into all that :) A nice short - really enjoyed seeing Sev stick it to his enemies.

I liked that story very much.  Of course, Severus wouldn't be nearly as interesting a character without the years of torment and seeking redemption... and of course, the good ship SSHG wouldn't exist... but it's a very fun what if? story.
