Thank you for your message. I'm glad to see that you keep reading: evidently you find the story interesting, in spite of its flaws. The chapter was late because of my frantic research for a new beta and then of course because of the queue. Our brave admins have a lot of work to do. However, as I said time ago, this story is completed and it has 38 chapters. So, it's only a matter of patience for the readers... and for the author ;)

It's a phrase that basically means things can change for the better if you work at it. I just put it into a slightly medieval dialect without thinking because I've been working on a project for the historical recreation group I belong to. Sorry! ^_^

I have been following this story as you post with great pleasure. I usually only read SS/HG stories, but once in a while, a story involving Snape and Harry's children tweeks my interest and I must read it anyway. This is such a delight, and it has taken several interesting and unexpected turns along the way. I'm so glad that Harry and Snape can finally have a civil conversation, and Snape can begin to feel truly appreciated by the still flesh and blood people that surround him. But I can't help but wish that he would find some ancient spell or potion in that old book to bring him back from canvass to flesh and blood himself. He has grown and matured so much as a human being since this story began.I must apologize for not reviewing after every chapter. I often read from my phone, but I cannot review from the phone. Please forgive me. Keep writing this wonderful story. I can hardly wait to see where else you take me. :)

I hope that my beta will send me back soon the next chapter, because I am uncomfortably aware that, between revision and queue, the intervals between each installment become very very long. I'm not surprised that shw wouldn't speak to Albus. The wizarding world seems to shoot itself in the foot on a pretty regular basis with its selfishness, hatred and quest for power. There may have been more to her father's story that influenced others in their decision, but hopefully Portrait!Snape will be a better guardian of the information. With the way she behaved, I wonder if there is something in her father's grimoire that will bring Snape back to life?

Albus Severus was very interesting here, as ususal - it seems that peacetime is allowing the children to see a bit more than black and white at an earlier age.

I don't have a great opinion of the wizarding world as it is described by JKR. The use of magic seems to automatically bring them back in time, in a sort of refusal of everything that is different. The formulae that Snape is going to protect are very powerful. But they will reveal their power in a very peculiar way. Sorry, can't say more.I'm glad that you like Albus Severus. in this story, he is the personification of Hope. But all the kids in this story are positive characters.
