Decades after the war, a special Auror taskforce is ready to take down the last five Death Eaters as they meet in a old forest in the middle of nowhere. Before the mission, Hermione learns of a danger no one had anticipated. If she doesn't warn Harry in time, everyone in the forest will die, including a tall, black-robed figure no one has seen since the end of the war.

I'm a 53 year old woman who wrote fanfic for years and adored doing it. While I lost the heart for fanfic after book 7 came out, I am still writing, and can be found at http://julianneqjohnson.com
You can find my published work on Amazon under the name Julianne Q Johnson.

This was wonderful. Thank you so much!
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Glad you enjoyed it!
Yay! No one was eaten. This ended perfectly. But, you know, if you wanted to give us a teensy glimpse into the future, I certainly would read it with gusto.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Thanks for reading!
Surely after this gentle reunion, they won't end as a Nargle dinner, but never say never. Off to find out!
Yikes, those Nargles are scary. I know it is Hermione we're talking about, but I had sort of expected her translation to be wrong. Guess not. What a way to be saved though. Let the mating begin!
Oh, this chapter felt way too short! I love Luna (and the idea of her breaking the rules). If I were Hermione, I'd probably gone with bee keeper garb and a can of raid, but you know, she may posses some mad knife skills. Or she was just in a hurry. I'm going with mad knife skills. :)
Hey, welcome back and congrats on your original work. I am completely intrigued by this start, so rather than sit here and chat, I must move on to chapter two. I would be remiss if I didn't say that I'm giggling at the fact that Hermione is out to find two things by the end of this chapter: handcuffs and a date.
I thought they were going to be goners for a minute there. Glad they aren't! Thanks for sharing your story, I do hope that you'll continue and do more!
I'm about a week too late to help with your book, but I really do hope you'll continue writing in the potter world! I was hoping it would be Snape killing off the death eaters, and I wasn't disappointed. Now, lets go see who's screaming and why!
Yay! Snape is here to save the day! Now what? Lol.
I really like this so far! Hermione's"accidental" choice of SPOON was great, and I love that some assumed vigilante is dropping dead death eaters at their feet. I'm thinking I can guess who that might be! Also, I've got the feeling already that her book and that forest can have nothing good in store..
Loved it! Happy to see a new story from you - thank you.

Happy to have a new story! Thanks for reading!
What a lovely endding, Severus has the honor he has always desevered, and Hermione. Hermione has her freedom, is still friends with Harry and Ron, and has Severus, and hope for a bright future. And last but not least memories of Bob in a forrest long ago, { I sobed my heart out }. Thank you so much for returning, a big bunch of carrots for the plot Bunnys.

So glad that you enjoyed it! Thanks for the kind words! :)
So many questions, who is outside? how will they rescue them, without getting eaten themselves? if it is a deatheater will they even try, on to the next chapter to find out.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Who could it be? :)
Well! Severus and Hermione trapped in a cabin in the woods all alone, what good can come of this? You have no idea how much I am enjoying reading one of your storys again.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
I had big fun writing a story again! :)
Well, that was fun. :-) I actually haven't read any Potter fiction in years, but it was great to get back to it for a little while. Good luck with your Kindle nomination!
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Thanks for reading and thanks for the luck! :)
Nibbled to death by Nargles, what a horrible way to go.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
I know they were barely mentioned in the books, but I never could get the Nargles out of my mind.

I got your shutout via the yahoo group and finally managed to catch up today. So happy, to see more fanfic from you with my beloved pairing. Can't wait to read the moment they finally meet. First chapter is exciting, as it should be (and I think I know who gifted those remaining deatheaters...)This fic is the first SSHG fic I am reading since Jan 14th, 2016. 2016 has been a terrible year...Christmas is slowly creeping in and with it the prospect of a better year, though Alan will be terribly missed forever.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
I loved Alan Rickman in all his roles. I still find it hard to accept he's gone. 2016 was a f**cker. I'm looking forward to 2017!Thanks for the kind words!
Welcome back oh great one , you have been sorely missed, you have lost none of your brilliance in your long absence. Looking forward to reading the rest of this very intriguing story.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Awwww! You're sweet! Thank you for reading, it's good to be back. :)
Awww. Gentle Snape.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
I'm a sucker for snarky but not a complete wanker Snape myself.
That was both terrifying, funny and adorable, which i completely associate with you. Lovely!
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Yay! That's what I like to write best! :)
It's good to see you back with a lovely little tale.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Thank you Shiv! Nice to see you too!
Great finale. The unicorn makes an appearance without being lunch! Just got to assume the DEs were not so lucky.
Good writing. You evoked that feel of the zombies relentlessly trying to get in and eat the humans inside without using real zombies.
Considering Severus did not have much of an afterplan, I think he came out of the night well ahead: a place to live and a person who cares. All he needs now is to find something to do.
Thanks for foraying back into this universe. I really enjoyed your story.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Thank you so much Mikiomoto for all of your kind reviews. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. :)
Hmm. As I suspected. Luring folks to be eaten in a once-in-three-hundred-years phenomenon is SO Severus. He has no moral qualms about it. He has done all kinds of planning and preparation (just as Hermione has done). I can just see the death eaters apparating in to a place where they are the main menu item. Like a roah motel: they check in but don't check out.
I do wonder a bit about the unicorn-sized creature Hermione found on her look-see. Was that Severus or is a unicorn going to get eaten (wouldn't want that ever since falling in love with Bob).
Fun story. Glad he was more prepared than her or else they would both be sitting there, bleeding, clutching a kitchen knife.
Response from PlaidPooka (Author of Night of the Nargles (complete))
Ha! They check in but don't check out! Made me laugh out loud. I think of Severus as an always prepared sort of fellow. I imagine it makes him mad when his plans go awry.
Response from mikimoto (Reviewer)
Yes. And now a dilemma. Keep the door closed and the screamer gets eaten or open the door and all three get eaten. I can't tell you how amusing I find it that you tapped nargles as being the bad guy. So funny.
