After the war, Harry Potter is left with no one to save, no one to fight, and one extra wand. Draco Malfoy escapes punishment by leaving the country... or so he thinks. Seven years pass before they see each other again. Draco is no longer the master of his wand and a battle of talent and wills ensues. A story of a wand without a true master, and two men who fight to master each other... and themselves.

Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!
If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!

I wonder if it's just proudness or arrogance that made storm out like that. Or maybe it's Harry's closeness that makes him uncomfortable...*grin*
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)
A little of all three, definitely. :D
Oh my! If there are that many sparks between then whereas they barely speaks to one another what wil it be when they fraternize much more?

It's so fun to write the love/hate UST part of the story. Usually I dive right in, but co-writing makes me work a little slower and I love it. :D
I think that you really have the Draco character down, and are making good use of his bad qualities. Would it have been the end of the world for him to just accept the wand? He didn't need to throw himself at Harry's feet in gratitude, or anything. Why would you give up the one thing you've been obsessing over when it lands in your lap? I hope that he and his pride have a grand time living it up as muggles! Will be interested to see if Harry is leaping for joy at the fact that he still has the wand, or if he had psyched himself up for the surrender, and now is back at square one. Updates are welcome anytime :)

Answering for my co-author here, but Draco's tragic flaw is definitely pride. He doesn't really see the middle ground between prostrating himself and taking the so-called high road. :D Updates are Mondays! We hope you continue to enjoy the fic. :D
Another chapter of awesomesauce. I shall languish in despair until the next update.

Thanks from keppiehed and me! Don't languish too hard, you'll hurt yourself. :D
my god, that man can be such an idiot sometimes. He's gonna hate himself for that pretty soon, I think.Great story, can't wait for the rest!!

Thanks from keppiehed and me! Draco is a bit of a pill but Harry's got his own issues, trust us. :D
Just to keep his pride happy. Stupid Draco.

Well I too would have liked to have seen the fight between Draco and Harry. But I can understand not wanting to risk his job. When did he become such a rule follower?! But good for him. It will just add to the tension between them which is already simmering quite nicely. And then there is the matter of that pesky little wand... I suppose it is unprecedented to have two wizards share a wand and really impractical to boot. So without further ado, let the games begin!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Princes in Exile)
LOL Well he definitely doesn't always follow the rules. As for a fight, well--that's not entirely out of the question. *is mysterious*
That looks like another wonderful story to me. Can't wait to read Draco's POW.

Thank you! You'll love this Draco, trust me. :D
