After the war, Harry Potter is left with no one to save, no one to fight, and one extra wand. Draco Malfoy escapes punishment by leaving the country... or so he thinks. Seven years pass before they see each other again. Draco is no longer the master of his wand and a battle of talent and wills ensues. A story of a wand without a true master, and two men who fight to master each other... and themselves.

Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!
If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!
Reviews for Princes in Exile
Ye gods and little fishes. It's like one step forwards, two steps back with these blokes! At least you gave them a good shag first, kep! :)
Wow.
No fighting? No misunderstandings? *checks title to make sure I'm in the right story* I'm very hopeful for these two. I think the fact that Draco participated in the kiss without reservation shows that he is interested in proceding with this relationship. And maybe he is no longer in denial, although I think it will take awhile to completely get used to the idea. And by taking things slowly, Harry has shown Draco that he will abide by his comfort level and not force him in to anything. I think that will actually encourage Draco to get more physical at a faster rate, knowing that it will be left up to his comfort level. This looks promising ...
I knew there was a reason I waited so long to read this. You're killing me with this ending! I actually thought his out of control magic was going to do something to Harry. But it is better this way because as mad as Harry is, and as intoxicated as Harry is, he is not the kind of person to just leave Draco there rotting on the floor of a filthy bar. And maybe it will cause Harry to really look at his feelings and whether or not is is worth the anger.
Despite the fact that Draco is not entirely faultless in this whole mess, you have me so worried about the poor boy. Nothing is going right for him, his whole world has been upended. He can't catch a break and he has noone to turn to for support. I truly hope that this current incident with Draco jumpstarts things in the right direction.
I'm an equal mixture of excited and afraid of seeing what is up next. Give the poor guy a break, will ya?
you did not just leave us hanging like that!!!!!!!!!!!!
that is cruelty pure and simple!!!!!!
Update soon for the love of god!!
........sh!t! l love this!.....just speechless......"Cheers!"
What a great chapter! The wait until next week will be long to know what happens next.
Pansy certainly is vindictive, but all Draco seems to know how to do is run.
You know, you two are evil women, torturing those poor, innocent boys like that! Send them to me. I'll look after them. :P
Oh, man, what a mess they're all in. I kept hoping that at some point Lucius and Harry would have a conversation. While I love the way Malfoy Sr. squirms everytime they talk so casually about their "lessons," it would be nice to have them both on a united front when it comes to Draco.
I do feel for Pansy. She must feel very used, and rightfully so. The note she wrote to the Quibbler was totally unexcusable, and for that, she has lost some of my sympathy.
And Draco... the poor boy is so confused and he has noone to talk to about any of it.
As for Harry, he really needs to listen to the one person who always seems to have it together. Hermione usually knows what she is talking about, or at least is sensible and able to see things from all sides. I don't entirely understand why Harry didn't let Hermione comfort him, or let them invite him over and talk things out over food and tea. I suppose he is so focused on revenge that he can't think straight. Plus, in his current state of mind, what a shame it would be to let Hermione talk him out of the task to which he is Hell bent on persuing.
I don't even have a guess as to what is going to happen now. I think a confrontation between the two men is what needs to happen, even if things got ugly. A little shouting and venting of bottled up feelings. A little make-up sex and all is well. Why do I know that is not what is going to happen? Please try to keep some control over Harry as he rushes off on a journey to royally eff things up between he and Draco.
Hehe nice chappie! i totally loved this chapter! Both of you are awesome! Hehe poor Lucius!
Can I hope that he will barge in Malfoy Manor and in his very drunken state tell Draco all his feelings for him. Maybe that way the two wouldn't feel that miserable.
Aww-some story, Keppihead/LiteraryBeauty/LiterarySpell! I absolutely LOVE this story! I just love Lucius's misunderstanding about this whole 'lessons' thing! :) Really funny stuff you both have here. Love it! "Cheers"
So he won. Does that mean that he can master his wand now? And I have the feeling that they'll feel lonely when they'll get back to their lives.
oh dear.
how is he going to fix all the shit he did now that Harry is going back to his life? Can't wait to know!!
Oh, poor Lucius. He must be mortified at his son's licentious behaviour. :D
Will Draco and Harry ever figure it out? Or will Lucius choke to death before they do?
I really love Lucius's misunderstanding of the current situation. Hee.
I still love that Lucius is so accepting of their relationship. Which doesn't actually exist. And while the ever astute Hermione was analyzing the relationship between Pansy and Draco, she should have just gone ahead and told Harry that he and Draco both have it bad for the other. Well someone has to tell them because they aren't getting it on their own. But I'm sort of torn. I really, really enjoy the tension between these two, and sort of revel in the fact that it continues chapter by chapter without resolution. On the other hand, I know that when the moment of truth arrives, it's going to be astounding (no pressure, right?)
I am quite interested to know why he can't use offensive spells against Harry. Is it just Harry, or anyone he tries them on? I think they should test that theory on Pansy! As always, looking forward to more!
*giggle* I love this chapter. It's very humorous. Wonder how long it will take for them to realize their feelings.
Lucius can see what they are doing, but they can't. It is funny.
Sunny's wrong; Hermione doesn't know it all. Ron has the right idea -eat corned beef sandwiches, drink a few beers and get tickets for the match of the year. Draco's skills are improving, so Harry's going to be in trouble - soon.
I'd like front row seats for the big showdown please.
And Lucius - god love him- seems uncomfortably comfortable with his son's emerging sexuality.
Hermione knows all. :)
hey LiteraryBeauty/LiterarySpell! pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese upload a new chapter, eh? Please. Oh, I have a question if you don't mind answering. Right above this review thing it says that this story is a "roundrobin story",......what does that mean? thx its an aaaaaaaawesome story "Cheers"

Hey! New chapter is up, love. :D We usually do updates every Monday, but I've been late a few times thanks to being out WAY too often lately. I hope you enjoy the chap!As for round robin, that means the story was written by more than one person. Keppiehed, my lovely and amazing co-author, writes the even chapters--the ones from Draco's point of view. I write the odd-numbered chapters, the ones from Harry's perspective. :D
Haha. Lucius is a damned sight quicker on the uptake than his son is! :)
