After the war, Harry Potter is left with no one to save, no one to fight, and one extra wand. Draco Malfoy escapes punishment by leaving the country... or so he thinks. Seven years pass before they see each other again. Draco is no longer the master of his wand and a battle of talent and wills ensues. A story of a wand without a true master, and two men who fight to master each other... and themselves.

Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!
If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!

lol that was brilliant!! I loved this chapter. I do hope Lucius doesn't make things too difficult for them... although we all know he will.
great job!! ^^
oooh, this is gonna be fun lol
The tea scene with Lucius and Draco was priceless. I was just starting to get annoyed with Lucius and then he had to go and be the good supportive father. This whole thing would be a lot simpler if Harry and Lucius would just get together, compare notes, and then confront their clueless friend/son with a reality check. I did like that Lucius has not been around for long, and already he was able to tell there is something going on there.
I think it will do Draco good to get a job and get out of the house a bit, but as observant as he has been with recent events, I'm not sure journalism will be a strong suit.
You have to get the these two together soon! Not because I think they deserve it, or because I am dying to see it, but I can't stand Pansy, and since Draco can't seem to find the nerve to tell her off, maybe walking in on them in a delicate position would give her the clue that she is never going to be Mrs. Malfoy. It's worth a try anyway.
That's so rich that Lucius has seen what Draco hasn't yet. And it's good that he have his support even if he doesn't know what to do with it yet. Maybe he won't have to wait too long.
Oh, so close. Draco needs to unwind a bit. Another round of burgers and fries should do it.
Oh, that was sweet. Burger wars!
Ganging up on Lucius! Yay! :)
It is good to see them so close, even mischievous. I love that new complicity. I hope it'll last.
Noooo! Why hould Lucius arrive at the critical moment? Just when things were beginning to get interesting between them. *frustrated sigh*
A long time can be good if someone warms his bed everynight...
Oh, I actually feel bad for Draco. He has gone through so much recently, and to be having the feelings he is about the person that he is must be awful and confusing. I suppose it might be a good thing for him to go get his much needed shag. Because when he does and it is anyone but Harry, it isn't going to help much. Maybe he will get a clue and snapout of his state of denial if that happens. Or not :)
Draco again had that indistinct feeling of double entendres that he couldn't quite grasp.
He should be having that feeling. Their conversations could have had several meanings. Draco obviously sort of gets it, and yet is totally oblivious. I don't know how much to think is intentional on Harry's part yet. I will be interested to see how Lucius' homecoming will affect the dynamics of the other two.
As always, this is fun, intriguing, and real, with the potential to get steamy. Loving it! Incidentally Keppiehed, it was not lost on me, the gibe to Harry's character in making him a fan of strawberry shortcake ;)
What? No! Get Lucius out of there. These boys really need to get it together.
Poor Draco. All that anxiety and Harry doesn't remember a thing. Or he's bloody good at covering up! :)
How can a drunkard who knows nothing about thread counts be any good for Draco? Can't wait to see how you work this one through.
I'm still loving the slow build here. It feels very realistic, and makes it so much more intense when they do finally get a clue about each other, and what they want.
I like how by some strrange coincidence, the snug denims and dreamy sweater ended up in his suitcase. I'm sure it was purely unintentional.
And in the end, Harry was awfully troubled by the incident with Draco's temperature, even if he says that it is just to avoid a guilty conscience. I would be very happy if things ran deeper than just some sexual tension. And on occasions, a part of Draco's personality bleeds through that I love to see. Despite his cool exterior, he harbors the same emotions as everyone else, and it is nice to know he can show them sometimes, and is softening up where Harry is concerned.
Things are really starting to heat up now (oh dear, no pun intended) and I look forward to more!
Those boys are still pretty clueless about each other, aren't they? :)
I can't believe how jealous Harry has become in what? a few days. That is wonderful news! *grin*
That was actually kind of funny in a pathetic idiot boys sort of way.
Whew! *fans self* I don't think Harry entirely understands what is going on between the two men, but Draco is totally in denial. The accidental walk in on Harry will definitely give Draco something to think about, probably long into the night. But if he thinks for a moment that just because Harry was in the shower means that he couldn't have been calling out his name, well, he has a lot to learn. And even if that wasn't the case, it is only a matter of time.
Can I bang their heads together? Pretty please? Although I suppose that would spoil all the lovely UST you two are creating, so I guess I'll have to be patient. :)
*huge grin* I'm delighted with all the event taking place here. I can't wait for next week.
Those two are so clueless it is funny.
They're really getting into each other's personal space now. It's hotting up nicely.
So, they're going to spend a lot of time together sweating and panting, maybe even groaning? *wicked grin* I can't wait to see that happening.
Hey, great chapter. Your Justin creeps me out a bit, and he just keeps showing up. Hopefully Harry plans to keep him in the past. And I love that Harry's conscience sounds like Hermione. How could it not?
We are getting some answers finally, thanks to Hermione. But I think there will be a lot more to learn in the coming days. The two boys are going to be spending a lot of time together, so I hope they can learn to play nicely. Too bad about the wandless magic, I had sort of liked the idea of seeing Draco participate in a school yard brawl.
