Hermione has some healing to do, doesn't she?  It is unconscionable that she was treated the way she was in Azkaban, but apparently the Ministry and the Unspeakables don't much care for the finer points of due diligence.  At least she's back at Hogwarts and had a nice suite of rooms to call home for the next year.  I'm glad that Severus left her with some work that he had already graded so that she could not only become familiar with his methods, but he knew it would drive her stir crazy to have nothing at all to do for two weeks.  Minerva was very thoughtful to have arranged for Severus to take her for walks outside the castle, too.  I realize that Severus may not be looking forward to them, but I can't help but think that these walks and their time together working in the potions lab will provide a good time to get to know each other better.The clear star in this chapter is Snarky!  I love her way of addressing Hermione.  She leaves no doubt that she is there to take care of Hermione, but she serves the Headmistress and will follow Minerva's instructions to the letter.These next months will be interesting as Hermione and Severus come to terms with themselves and each other.thanks you for this great update!Beth

wow, i am so intrigued how Severus is going to get a second chance. Have to go to work now so i have no doubts i will be thinking of the story..lol

well, my interest is peaked, cant imagine where this is going, especially as she let him get buried..lol, so i ruled out resurecting his body, so on to the next chapter tomorrow:)

Perfect update, well worth the wait.  Snarky, what a great name for a house elf.  Can't wait to see how the relationship between Hermione and Severus will progress?  I think it's a good sign that he can't stop thinking about her.

I thought I had started this story and added it to my Favorites list, but apparently I had only read the first chapter and forgot to put it on the list. So here goes: It's a good story with an excellent plotline; the Unspeakables are gits; Azkaban is the pits; and Snarky is priceless. Keep up the good work. Can't wait for the next chapter. ^_^
