Snape lies dying on the floor of the Shrieking Shack, Nagini's venom rushing through his veins. Casting a summoning spell, not only one, but six helpers rush to his side. And one enemy.

Reviews for Summoning
Snape`s revenge was certainly inspired.... ;)Glad he didn`t pass up Hermione`s offer of a full body massage and other perks. Thank you!
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
*lol* Of course he didn't pass up. He likes her! Thanks for reading and reviewing, dear!
Oh, good lord, it was something fantastic! i laughed a lot... what a sense of humor you have! loved this one a lot.
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Thanks! And please let me know what you think of Stalking ;-)

I like this ending so much more than the real one.
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
You know what? So do I. And if someone told me today that Snape is dead I would look this someone in the eye and answer "No, he's not." Becaues, in my world, he isn't. Ms. Rowlin's version is just that for me - a version, one out of many. Three cheers to fanfiction!
"Don't kill Ron, please, he thought you were dead," Too too funny! Great line!

Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
I enjoyed this. It was very funny! The idea that person after person was summoned and was just useless was a complete hoot!
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Apart from Hermione, of course ;-)Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
I like it. It's nice how you can make something so dark a comedy as well. I loved Snape's snark as the others are dithering over why they are there. And Winky. LOL what a wonderful touch. Glad it ended alright for him. :D
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
In my world, it always ends nice for him. If not in the first try, then in the sequel. Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
You must be a real pro because that was brilliant and funny as hell. It's too bad you didn't let Severus get back at Ron. That would have made it beyond perfect.
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
*purrs loudly because of the compliment*I used to work as a journalist, but had to give it up years ago due to lack of income ;-) I didn't realise how much I missed writing until I stumbled over this archive and got hooked immediately. So many, many thanks for the review, and as a warning: the sequel is ready to get posted, I just wait untill the voting is over.
"Dying was a lousy way to spend the evening.... really I should have stayed in the lab tonight". Brilliant. Just brilliant!
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Just found your review - sorry for responding so late and thanks for the nice words!
The first part could have been written by JKR (except snape's thoughts) she cared about snape that much.
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Well, he's save now *g* And I'm working on the sequel - he has to get back to Ron!
Thanks for reviewing!
Heh! Ron's moustache is just so inappropriate I had to snicker with laughter in exactly the same way I envisaged him doing.
The crap reactions of all but Hermione (eventually Remus) and Poppy were spot on. Much amusement here and a change from all the usual rescues
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
I'm very glad you liked it - thanks a lot for reviewing!
*snickers* I love your humorous take on the ending. Ron drawing a moustache - lovely.

*hugs*Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
Hooray for an alive Snape! Stories like this just make my day.
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Writing them makes mine - I just can't stop ;-)Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
Very good. Ron painting the mustache was a strangely lighthearted note to an otherwise creepy situation and a very Ron-ish thing to do. He probably didn't win any boyfriend-points with Hermione, though.
As were his and Harry's words, 'We appreciate what you did, but we still don't really like you much'
I would have thought that Remus would have had the sense to check if Severus was really dead, but I guess he assumed that Ron and Harry had done so. (I would also have thought he had the sense to remove the mustache, but apparently not)
I also liked Madam Pomfrey actually scolding him for almost dying and the use of 'next time, try to...' As if he was going to go out and get mortally wounded again on purpose.
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Who knows with Snape - he has a thing for dangerous situations. And Lupin, well, he was too shocked to care about moustaches :-)Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
:) I liked everyone mulling around chatting while poor Snape lay dying on the floor. I'm sure he'll have some cutting words for Ron too :)
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
And a friendly word on top of it - will scare the live out of the boy ;-)Thanks so much for your review and sorry for the late response.
Great! Loved the humorous undertones.

Loved it!!!! Poor Ron, he is in soooo much trouble!

You can bet he is, and I already found out a way for Snape to really, really freak him out *g* I will post the sequel after the voting. And thanks a lot for reviewing!
I hardly care that this is AU. I love your take on this prompt! It is delightful! I loved the line: Just throw me out so you've got some more space for your party! since every one and Nagini responded to his summons! And really got a giggle over: – one of his pupils getting that close to him without him being able to lift as much as a finger to hinder her was surely a reason to hide in the next mouse hole with embarrassment for the rest of the century. Thank you. This is a treat!
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Thanks for making me happy - I loved your review! I had so much fun writing the story and I am glad that it is liked despite the way I mistreated the canon...

Ah, of course *this* is the way it really would have gone down! Remus, Tonks, and Severus all survive—yay! And of course Snape would have an antivenom prepared. He probably made it since Nagini first attacked Arthur Weasley. I'm glad to see someone wrote a response to this prompt. I like your idea of a summoning charm. It was entertaining to see what each character did when they arrived. Winky—pathetic LOL. Ron—!!!! prat !!!! Harry—still stumbling through everything he does—cluelessly, Remus—his sentimentality—aww and Hermione—brilliant, aware, and saves our hero's life—YES!
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
I found the prompt by reading a response for it: Life Debt Repaid was the name of the story, in case you want to seek it out. And I am massively glad you liked my version of things *g*
Response from SeverusLovesUs (Reviewer)
Yes, well, I definitely liked your version. It was quite impressive. =)

This is a much better ending to the series than the one Jo wrote. And even near death, Snape is still at his snarky best! Great job, you!

i really like what you did with this. and i marvel at the fact that you were able to infuse so much humor into it, given the gravity of the situation. (the blood mustache creeped me out a bit, but i'm pretty squeamish.)
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
Sorry for that. Snape, though, will find a quite scary way to pay back the dunderhead for doing that ;-)
Response from kittylefish (Reviewer)
glad to hear it. he deserves no less!

Loved it, absolutely loved it!!! I wouldl have liked to "see" Ron facing Severus when Severus has got some of his strength back though:-))
And, your ending was much better than JKR's ending. I would not be surprised if she made hers in a feeble attempt to ruin the great fanfics out there, probably because some smart fanfic author had already used her idea. That is the only reason I can find for her to write a book seven that was so much lacking compared to the first six books.....
Response from chivalric (Author of Summoning)
After the voting, watch out for a story called "Stalking"... Ron will have to do a lot of facing, then *g*

Loved this. The constant little Snapey comments as he lay dying felt spot on.

Really. You should. Continue, that is.

Oh, really, ladies, didn't you know that I am cursed? I have to write a sequel whenever one is asking for it! So thank you very much - for more work *g*
Thanks for reviewing. I will think of something to please you!

What a lovely, darkly funny one-shot. You really should continue in, er, this same vein!
