I am in my 40s and I recently had two books published - Mike and the Deaf Student and Crayons - Color My World. They are both on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Reviews for A Hero's Farewell
Nicely done. Somebody needed to give him a decent funeral.
and in the end it is too late to make amends...Harry has a fierce determination.
Oh you can taste the remorse...
Nicely angsty.
I only wish JKR would have seen fit to give Snape a hero's farewell but you, dear Author, did a very admirable job. Thank you!

Thank you. I appreciate it. *bows*
It was the dawn of a new era without the threat of Voldemort and the dawn of a new era when the truth would be revealed. That is a great line!
Response from HermioneWeasley1972 (Author of A Hero's Farewell)
Thank you.
Your Harry seems to be maturing before our very eyes. Nicely done.
Nice start. You capture Harry's inner turmoil very well.
Aw that was kind of sad and hopeful for the future all at the same time.
I like Harry's speach. It was simply but it got the point across.
Harry saw a doe?? You mean a doe as in Snapey's Patronus doe? As in Snapey is still alive? BTW, I really appreciate your giving Minerva a chance to hear the truth from Harry. Thanks for posting!
I've really enjoyed this story very much. It's like reading a classic Jaguar and getting to test drive it for a day. The flow was nice and the simplistic stye only enhanced the tale. Nicely done.

Thank you so much and thank you for the other wonderful reviews you have left. I really enjoyed writing this story.
i appreciated your giving snape a proper hero's farewell, as he deserved. i especially liked the black tomb next to dumbledore's white one, which seems very fitting. thanks for sharing this story.

Thank you. I am a big fan of symbolism. Not that I think he was evil, but black just seemed to fit him better as it was his favourite color.
Response from kittylefish (Reviewer)
yes, it being his favorite color is one reason i thought it fitting. the other -- i don't see the black:white as a good vs. evil dichotomy, more of a yin:yang balance thing. : )
A mature, quiet, dignified story. Thank you.

Thank you for the nice review. :)
*dabs eyes with tissue* That was wonderful. As much as I am in the Snape-Is-Not-Dead-Dammit! Camp, this was a good and poignant send-off for our beloved Potions master.
Response from HermioneWeasley1972 (Author of A Hero's Farewell)
Thank you. I have to say that your review was touching and funny - the Snape-Is-Not-Dead-Dammit! camp part was hilarious. :)
Response from Sporky1126 (Reviewer)
Yes, I am happily in denial. After all, any good soap opera will tell you that no body=not dead.
Response from HermioneWeasley1972 (Author of A Hero's Farewell)
I first read that as any good Snape opera - oi I really need my eyes checked or else i need to go to bed. But maybe someone should write a Snape opera. Hmmm. Not me. LOL
Well done. Good send off for Snape
Short and sweet. Nice story and good flow.
This is unfolding nicely. For something so simple, it's well written and keeps pulling me in, wanting to follow along. Nice job.

Thank you so much.
What a lovely thought, but I still won't accept the death of Severus, J.K.R. should never have killed him, especially the way she did. I am happy that yoy are showing a much more mature Harry who appreciates the sacrafices made for him.
If Snape were really dead this would be a great send-off.
Thank you. Seems like I've been waiting for eons to hear these thoughts from Harry. About time. Merry Christmas
awe, i'm crying already, can't wait for more
Response from HermioneWeasley1972 (Author of A Hero's Farewell)
Thank you. :) Just wait til you get to the end. LOL
This has a nice mature feel to it. I would think that after a night like the one Harry just went through he would be more reflective and mature. Thanks for posting, JoAnne

Thank you for your kind words. I am glad that you are enjoying it.
Awe, good. Harry is doing this for the right reasons. I'm glad.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
A very interesting start. Will this be a series of drabbles making up the story? Will you be following DH cannon? You left me with a lot of questions, but of course now I will have to follow the story to get them answered. Sometimes setting the hook like this works sometimes not, in my case all you have to do is reel me in!
I liked this. I liked Harry's thoughts on how he had difficulties feeling like celebrating. He's lost a big part of his life, after all, even if he's ultimately relieved to be rid of it. It's life changing for him.
