Draco's emotions were running high. I can't imagine he actually believed the hurtful words he was saying. Hermione had tricked him and she had taken something that he obviously really didn't want her to see. Please be patient with dear Draco. He's a bit of a mess these days. I the next few chapters we will see his talk with Snape (who will hopefully have some wisdom to impart on his student) and you will get to see what Draco was hiding. I ask that you reserve judgement until we see what he wanted, so fiercely, to protect from Hermione's prying eyes. If, at that point, you still consider him a complete shit, then by all means, judge away :) But I do hope you can find it in you to forgive him :)

Snape will definitely have some words for Draco - not all of which Draco will really want to hear. I think our favorite Slytherin will be able to talk some sense into the boy, even if his words are only begrudingly accepted :)Thanks for the read and review!!

I'm glad you liked it. I think Draco has had a lot to deal with since the war (and even during) and his opening up may have just been a need for another human being to notice that he still existed. I imagine he's pretty alone now - his father's a known fellon and it's no secret that he was involved in some pretty henious things as well. It would be a hard life, deserved or not. I too am a big SS/HG fan :) but a little Draco now and again never hurt anybody I guess :) If it makes you feel any better, Snape is very prominent throughout this fic so, although he won't be - ahem - consorting with Hermione, he will be around. Thanks for the review!!

The mysterious paper will be revealed in the next chapter. I don't know if readers will consider it a big deal or not once they find out what it is, but I've tried to paint Draco as a person caught in that stage between still being a teenager and becoming a man, so some of his reaction may be more, or less, founded than others. :)As for Severus, I am trying to give him the illusion of a little of that omnipotence that Albus had. Although, I think in SEverus' case, it's really jsut that he's suspicious, good at sneaking, and, of course, a master spy. LOLThank you for checking this out even though it's not your normal pairing. I greatly appreciate your review. With all the hub bub over at OWL I know TPP authors aren't getting the reviews they have in the past so that makes each one doublely special. :) As much as this seems abandoned, it will not be so forever. It is currently posted in it's most entirety here, and it will be updated here before anywhere else. I have been absent from TPP for a while now but this story is actually pretty dear to my heart and despite it's long stangance, I have no intention of just leaving it flapping in the breeze. Look for an update around the end of November or early December (depending on if I can get ahold of my old beta or if I need to find a new one). It's time I get back to what is most important to me (in fandom) and this story is definitely it. Thank you for reminding me how much I miss writing it and I hope you are still interested in reading it when it finally springs back to life. :)

I agree! I think Hermione may have let her head interfere with her heart on this one. I also think she may not have completely thought things through before inacting her 'plan'. Draco's words were certainly awful but they may have struck her a little too close to home regarding this ill concieved plan of hers.

I always imagined all the 'kids' would be a bit more grown up after the war. So maybe... just maybe... Draco and Hermione can put aside old prejudices and see each other for the people they've become. ... Maybe... lol
