She was almost as wrapped up in everything as everyone else.  Unfortunately, once the glitter wears off, you have the day to day struggle with someone you're not as in love with as you thought. Poor thing.  Unfortunately, Molly has gotten a bit bitter.  She was a wonderful woman, but perhaps the war and whatever post war attention she received has made her hungry for more.  As for Severus, he definitely doesn't need anybody, until he finally realizes he does.

*grin* I was state treasurer for that part of my region of an international non-profit organization for a few years. The regional treasurer used the expression a few times when we discussed some really late reports from local treasurers. I told her I was going to appropriate the saying. ^_^

Good points all.  I think Hermione's character jumps to help before her mind fully identifies the possible consequences.  One would think she'd do better, being such a bright woman, but alas, she still needs to learn.
