Reviews for Stars are Blind
wow...... finally he is making a move towards her and i am glad though i do feel sorry for hermione
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! The story isn't over yet (I have 20-some chapters written, by my count), and Andromeda won't let Severus hurt Hermione if she can help it...
Response from pottermania (Reviewer)
well from the way ur going doesnt seem as if severus will also deliberately hurt hermione but dnt tell me that andromeda is going to go all noble and force severus to accept hermione or something...
Ooooh! Let Ted go, Andromeda! He would understand, I'm sure. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
She's still mourning and letting Narcissa run things, but she's not unaffected... Thank you!
A teenaged crush? Where's Draco while all this is going on? What will Hermione do when she realizes that Severus is not in love with her? Stay tuned. Same bat-time, same bat-channel. (Sorry, my age is showing.) ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Did I really get so far behind on review responses? Shame on me!Yes, there's definitely some crushing going on between various parties, and Hermione will definitely have some things to deal with. Draco is studying or sitting with the baby at this particular moment, which keeps him out of the line of fire, for the moment. I think the same bat-time, same bat-channel is appropriate for the "bat of the dungeons" ;) Thank you!
thank you for clearing up that severus is only interested in andromeda and that she has also started liking him "dream lover"...... love the story .... really interesting and refreshing
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
I'm glad you're enjoying it, and I hope you still do as the story continues!
Another interesting chapter. Are Severus' feelings really only those of a patient towards his nurse? Will Tim actually marry his girlfriend? Is Draco actually overcoming a lifetime's worth of Malfoyism? Stay tuned for the next exciting chapter of "As the Stars Turn". ^_~
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
*snerk!*I suspect you'll be calling this "Desperate Purebloods" by the time it's over. ;PThanks for the note! Those are all good questions, some of which I even intend to answer!
As I said before Narcissa is really living up to her name. It must have killed her to be nice to Hermione and "coach" her. I really like Tim, he seems well-adjusted for all he and his family have been through. Severus seems quite possessive of Andromeda. Interesting. Thank you.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! Maybe it's a bit of a Gary Stu, but I happen to be married to the sort of guy who's really well-adjusted and rolls with things, for the most part. I think a lot of those wonderful men exist and if they don't set the world on fire, they do keep it turning day after day. I patterned my Ted after that sort of guy and Tim is the son of his father. Narcissa has gotten herself into a bit of a muddle where she thinks her family will suffer if she doesn't help Hermione, so she's sucking in her distaste for Mudbloods. She's also got a husband in the clink and a son visiting relatives, so what's a pureblood housewife going to do? Meddle in other people's affairs, of course. ;)And Snape... well no one so far has bothered to ask what his agenda is...
This is getting really intereting and i am waiting to see how and betwen whom you devlop the relationships and also if u tough upon harry and ron's relationships......... though please don't make it the hermione/ snape pairing - geting tired of that. andromeda and snape sound much better..... hermione wiht either tim or draco would be more interesting to read
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you for the review! You raise a lot of interesting pairing possibilities, upon which I can't really comment at this stage of posting the story. I will say that I've thought about all of them. Several characters have commented upon their wishes in my mind, too. I will say that I think if you look carefully at the story summary, you might notice an answer to one of your questions.
Interesting. Is this a Severus/Andromeda fic or a SS/HG ship? Of course, it could also be a Dramione, couldn't it? You'll probably just keep us guessing. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
At this point, we're just exploring the options. (whistles and rolls eyes innocently, LOL). I hope what happens doesn't disappoint!
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
Don't worry. Whatever happens, I'm sure it will make for a good story. ^_^
What a night! If I were Severus, I'd want to hex them to the moon. At least Andie's emancipated and doesn't have to listen to them anymore. *smile* Narcissa's just being herself and her mother makes a good villainess. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! I love messing with Druella. What must it have been like to be the sister-in-law of Walburga Black? What kind of a person would you have to be to survive that? Severus is biding his time, and Andromeda is hoping it drags. At least she's somewhat safe from too much family intervention.
Oh, the angst! How cruel of you to make me love this story more every chapter when I am just dying for them to clear the air between them once and for all. Poor Andromeda's uncertainty: a sort of honeymoon because she doesn't believe it's real. Poor Severus wanting to tell the world that his dove is his wife, and not comprehending at all her uncertainty. Narcissa is as true a villain as ever. I'm so impatient!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you for reviewing! I don't think things will get any more confused, but there will be some time before the air is really clear between thm. The worst thing married couples do is assume they know what's going on or that the other one knows without actually asking or telling. I love Narcissa, but when she's in a panic over her family and there's no one around to settle her down, I suspect she can go off the rails pretty easily.
excellent but when will the shadows go??? even with marriage she doesnt fully understand or trust him and he lso is not saying the right words!!!!!!!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Neither is really saying the thing that will trigger understanding between them, are they? One way or another, they will figure it out. Thank you for the review!
Narcissa's gonna be ma-ad! *grin* And what about Hermione? I'm sure she's harbouring a crush on our favourite Potions master. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Yeah, it's going to be ugly when those two excellent women find out. Actually, I've already written that scene.Thank you for you kind reviews!
"Childus Interruptus" It happens to the best of us. *grin* Did Tim floo all the way from Australia? I didn't think that was possible in canon. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
It does happen to us all, eventually, doesn't it? That's a good point about Tim. No, he changed his reservation and came home early on an airplane to visit his girlfriend. He came to his mother's house because he's distraught. Thanks for the review!
whoa whoa whoa! What have we here? I totally knew he thought of her as a daughter type thing but WHAT! Can't wait to see the next instalment, and an explanation! :D So excited!
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Hee... yes, this is my pet theory, I guess. Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Thank you again for a lovely chapter. Andromeda seems so levelheaded and in control most of the time but gets so illogical where her mother and sister are concerned. Ouch, that feels familiar ...
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Yeah, our family can sure tie us in knots, can't they? Thank you for your reviews!
Whew! It's a relief to have that miscommunication settled! Thanks. Even with the cliff hanger of what Severus has to explain, this chapter is still a relief. I look forward to the next installment.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Yes, the last chapter and the next three or four have been written for over a year, but I always felt there was something missing or not right. It was this chapter. Thanks for your reviews!
Hoorrayyy for Sev and Andy! :) and, oh gosh cliffhanger! Must.read.more!xx
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Yeah, more than one person has secrets in this family, LOL. Thanks for reviewing!
Wishes Severus would stop playing these emotional games with Andromeda. The poor thing she knows Severus has affections for Hermione ( at least if that is what Im reading correctly) and yet Severus tries to get her into bed. Makes me wonder what would happen if Hermione shows up unexpected and finds the two of them in an awkard situation. Oh well I guess I will have to keep reading to find out what happens next. *Grins* What an emtional rollercoaster for all involved.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Yes, Severus seems to want it all rigiht now, doesn't he? Hermione is convinced that things are progressing in one particular direction and isn't really observing anything that would contradict that. It is a rollercoaster for Andromeda. Thanks for the reviews!
So! A love triangle then? Or is Tim going to get involved as well? Can't wait for the next chapter. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Between the people who want to be involved, don't want to be involved, and don't know there's anything to be involved with (but should), it's a much bigger polygon than that! (evil grin) Thank you for the great reviews!
man this is great... when will the confusion clear up?? and in the last chapter u hinted at draco and hermione and in this one at tim and hermione...... do make it clear please
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! I think it will be at least a couple of months before everything is crystal clear, perhaps Christmas, but some things will reach a sort of resolution in chapter 12. I have to be honest, I'm not sure what to do with Tim, Draco, Ron or even Viktor Krum, if it comes to it.Thanks for the review!
If Hermione's jealous of the Slytherin girls, what's she going to do when she realises Severus' feelings for Andromeda? I like the way you brought the Slytherins into the story as to how they'd be finishing their education, and I say "Bravo" to Andromeda for her bravery. ^_^
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! One of my fanfic friends always worries about the Slytherins and how they end up taking the blame for everything bad that happens. After all, it's the Hufflepuff-filled Ministry that let it all happen, and Ravenclaw and Gryffindor cause their own quantity of trouble. Snape's not well enough to go back to Hogwarts, so he's going to do some tutoring this year. Andromeda helping the Slytherins isn't really any different than the jump from her family to life as a blood-traitor. She just needed to be encouraged.Meanwhile, Hermione is not likely to respond well to Severus's attachments as they stand. With Cissy coaching her and Andromeda encouraging her, though, she's not likely to notice anything she doesn't want to see for a while...
wow.... ur deliberately confusing the situation now....... severus obviously views hermione as special.......if he doesnt get the response from andromeda please dont make him turn to her......
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! Not every relationship is romantic, and it's entirely possible that Hermione is special to him for a great many reasons.I'm glad you think this is a bit confusing... Andromeda can't make anything out of it, either. ;)
Another beautiful chapter. I loved the end where she was talking to/dreaming of Ted. Thank you.
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Thank you! Andromeda still has a lot to mourn, and Ted has been the voice in her head for many years. As long as she still hears that voice, she can convince herself he's not really gone.
I just read Perseus & this in the last 24 hours and I am extremely disappointed to only just realise this story hasn't been updated in over a year :( I love the story and I am desperate to see where it is going. Is this story abandoned? I hope that you have just had an extremely long hiatus on it. I'm surprised that there aren't more reviews as this is truly a well written and excellent fic.Bree :)
Response from Rose of the West (Author of Stars are Blind)
Actually, there are several chapters complete that I never posted. I'll see about getting one of them up this weekend. Thank you so much for your review! I have to admit that between losing a couple of beta readers and having some other things come up, I was distracted from this.
Response from Duchess_Of_Arcadia (Reviewer)
Yayy :)
