Hi,

I absolutly love fanfiction but I never thought I would write one myself. But when Healer Pomfrey put up a contest I decided to write a stroy for it! The result was my story "Everything will be okay soon" !
I'm a social worker in a children shelter for abused, hard to educate and/or criminal girls.

I like this first chapter very much. I've always thought that Poppy and Severus had a special relationship more close to mother-son than dear friends. I hope she'll get better.

Interesting beginning, and promising plot, I think. I always liked the interaction and realtionship between Poppy and Severus, and it's kind of cute to see him taking care of her. Though having such a headache you describe him to have, I'm a bit surprised he manages to push it away for the time being - that's nearly impossible, as I know from own experience. But probably he will suffer afterwards for it?

Author's Response: I also write about the headache in experience. I have them for days and drugs can only help a bit. Severus is on the verge of being addicted in my story. I'm not really sure if he could almost forgot his headache ubder this circumstances. Under big stress on work I can forget them but the moment the stress is over they are back twice as bad. I don't think that caring about Poppy would be enough stress to blend them out but it had to be for the plot. :)
And of course Severus will suffer more in the next and last chapter. But he also will get help. So please read it as well when I update.

Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: Sounds similar to my headache experiences. Drugs don't help, too, but massage does, sleep, magnesium and fresh air. My dentist described me some "mouth muscle" massage last year; since I've had this, it's much better. I had to learn not to lock my jaw involuntary, too, when under stress.
I'm curious to see what's going to help Snape, and who is going to help, too! ;o)

Very nice start, dear. I'm definitely looking forward to the next chapter. The concept of an ill matron is refreshingly new, and I like Snape taking care of people in his gruffy way. One small advice, though: don't make yourself smaller than you are. By letting people know you are not a native speaker, you practically beg us to look for mistakes we would overlook otherwise. And I know what I am talking about: I'm German ;-)

How often we put aside our own health when someone else needs us! I hope Poppy feels better soon, and I hope someone realizes that Severus is sick too! I have a medical background, and I can think of about 25 things he could be suffering right now... and most of them need immediate attention before they get worse!Great first chapter, and I look forward to the next!
