Jumped on the Harry Potter bandwagon in 2000 (when Goblet of Fire was out in hardback). Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite in the series, followed by Order of the Phoenix. I read and write in the SS/HG corner of the Potterverse.

Interesting. Death by divorce in a non-murderous capacity. I'd have been out of the black in about 3 months--despite the flock-o-gingers watching me the entire time.

Thank you! I'm sure Molly thinks that a veil is very fashionable for a widow...And Ron seemed to be asking for that sticky end.

Thanks! I did leave the ending open for a sequel, but I haven't planned one. I might write more one day, though!

Snerk okay this is the best demise of Ron that I have read. Everybody writes of his deplorable table manners, but what a way to knock off the idiot! I love it! Irish

Like you, this is about as much R/Hr as I can take. In the interest of fairness, I did try reading some, but even though well written etc, I just found I couldn't suspend my disbelief to the point of enjoying them - basically, the pairing irks me no end, and, although I bow down in supplication to JKR, Goddess of the Potterverse, when I read the Epilogue to DH, all I could come up with was "What WAS she thinking?".Honestly, it would be hard to come up with a more mismatched long term pair - though I suppose, a Filch/Luna would do the trick (ewwww... now THERE'S a squick just waiting to happen!)Now, to step down off my soapbox and review - I thought you did a wonderful job - this is just how I'd imagine their relationship turning out - and of course, poor Ron dying in a food related incident just goes without saying, lol.As your challenge had been to write a R/Hr piece, I thought you finished at just the right spot.I wouldn't be averse to seeing a sequel in the future thought!

I do wonder what she was thinking too, but at least the epilogue was left ambiguous enough that I can fool myself into thinking Hermione wasn't married to Ron.(scrubs brain at thought of Filch/Luna)Thank you! Poor Ron. As for a sequel, I'll have to see if a suitable plot bunny will attack.

And I love Hermione's reasoning at the end "fuck Severus" - Indeed my dear if you don't there's one heck of a line up of fangirlz ready to take your place...

OH, ROFLMAO!!! Ron offs himself choking on food! Pissed off!Severus! And I liked Hermione's line of reasoning in the last paragraph "Fuck Severus and…" Hmm. Time to visit Spinner's End!!!
