Severus Snape is about to be given his liberty from the Ministry’s pilot rehabilitations program and his Probational Monitor, Hermione Granger. Five years is a long time to spend under the thumb of an annoyingly know-it-all Gryffindor, but is it long enough for him to see her as more than that? Will accusations of impropriety doom their chance for happiness?

Reviews for Pushing the Envelope
YAY!! I'm first! LOL
I adored this fic when I first read it, and I'm enjoying it even more the second time 'round. I love the witty dialog and the friendship the two have. It's just lovely!

You ARE first!!! And just about the sweetest person ever! Thank you so much for always beign so sweet and encouraging!
Cute!!
Yay! Very sweet and cute and fun and funny! I really liked the loving repartee between Herms and Sevums. ;) My one criticism (and it is minor) is that the conflict was solved very easily -- both the possible relationship conflict (okay, we know theyr'e meant for each other) and the scary mail-bomb jealous schoolmate (maybe could have used some more explanation). That said, I liked the light tone and the fast pace and aside from fanfic I've been reading Greek Drama which maybe has a bit too MUCH conflict as these things go so my dramatic sensors may just be scewed. Thanks for writing!--Hilaria

Thank you so much for reading and for your kind review. Oh no... your dramitic sensors are just fine. This piece was for the SSHG exchange and as I had already passed the deadline, I was in a panic trying to get it finished and I probably ended up rushing the ending a bit. I considered having a minor fallout from Hermione's manipulation... but I was afraid that once I moved into the angsty waters of betrayal and recriminations, that it would take me forever to get them back on track. Unfortunately, I just didn't have the time. Thanks for the comments!
Really enjoyable story with a wonderful happy ending.

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I'm so happy that you liked it.
There's irony, Severus Snape an employee at Neville Longbottom's company. That was great. I thought the villain was Rita Skeeter, but Marietta Edgecombe was a better choice. I especially liked the "let's take it slow" part that actually only lasted 10 minutes. Very amusing.

*yay* I'm so glad you liked it!!! Thank you very much for reviewing!
Very enjoyable. Nice and light.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, I'm SO sorry about the chapter order mix up!
Chapter two is AFTER chapter three? WTF?
Response from Britt1975 (Author of Pushing the Envelope)
*shakes head* I'm so sorry, I can't imagine what happened. But thank you for letting me know, I think it's fixed now.
This ia a nice read. A very soft look at their two personalities so far. In the last scene, the text suddenly became italicised--I think you may have missed the 'close italics' marks.
Response from Britt1975 (Author of Pushing the Envelope)
I'm really very happy that you enjoyed it, and terribly sorry that your reading experience was so fraught with problems!!! I've closed the italics. *head smack*
Thank you!
Good story. I liked the touches of humor and the ending. But what finally happened to Marietta?
Response from Britt1975 (Author of Pushing the Envelope)
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it! As far as Marietta... I think that Hermione probably followed Harry's suggestion of not pressing charges in exchange for Marietta seeking help from St. Mungos. However, it wouldn't surprise me if she had work pretty hard to convince Severus to go along with her on that. Thanks again for reading and your kind review.
Ahh, what a wonderfully sappy ending! I truly enjoyed your fic. It was a delightful read. Well done!

I'm so happy that you enjoyed it! Thank you very much for your kind reviews along the way!
ooh! What a chapter. The ending was, of course, fabulous and I loved it! That part with P.I.M.P. and Lucius' cane was inspired! I was laughing out loud. Great writing.
Response from Britt1975 (Author of Pushing the Envelope)
Thank you so much for your lovely review! I spent a ridiculous amount of time coming up with P.I.M.P. so it's wonderful to know that you enjoyed it.
What a wonderful, heart warming, sweet, funny fic. I absolutely adored the gentle humor, the plausible back story and all of your fresh and inventive ideas.Brava!
Miss Edgecomb is an under used villian. I can see her going around the bend being unable to remove the hex marks. I would have suggested a hair style change, bangs anyone? But perhaps she enjoys her sulking evilness? Oh Britt I miss you so!
Oh Britt you didnt really fade to black for the good parts did you? There better be naked Snape in the next chapter or you are in trouble sister!
Even on my reread this part brought tears to my eyes! “You deserve the chance to be happy, Severus. Are you willing to reach out and take it?”Severus searched her eyes, stunned by the truth he saw there, that a future with her was possible. He took her hand and brought it to his lips. “I am.”
I think this maybe the only fan fic in history to give Miss Lovegood a career as an attorney. Hahhaahh!
Where oh where are you tonight? Why did you leave me here all alone?I've searched the world over & thought I found true loveYou met another and poof you were gone!Yes I have sung the Hee Haw song to you. Where are you Woo Hoo girl? Are you still on email? I miss you toots. Come back if you can.
I've just read this story for the second time. I think I like it better now. (Have been reading so-called fluff for voting purposes, and this is high up.)(The first time around was inside a variety of exchange fics.)
very good! I like this nice Snape. I think people are different with different people, and can envision SNape being soft with Hermione and still plenty snarky with others.
That's my idea of Hermione, going after what she wants. Like I did when I was young. :-)
I think this is very sweet so far. I love Hermione's drinking his tea, the sort of thing she might do to Harry or Ron, very sisterly. And it makes sense that he'd be attracted to her, so I found that believable. I enjoyed their banter; how nice that a friendship has formed between them.On to chapter two! I love finished stories!
