From the creaking floorboards to the gloomy, bookcased sitting room, I feel as though I am walking through Snape's home. This chapter is well-thought-out. Snape's character has been developed well, revealing much ... while not revealing all, which I like.

Thank you so much. I won't admit that I didn't know how to explain and reveal everything, but then came to the conclusion that Snape isn't the kind of person that would reveal everything in the first place. ;)

Very nice look at how Severus would have felt in the aftermath of his taking the Vow. I can definitely see him being meticulous about all this and wanting to be alone in the early morning hours to consider what he had just done.

Ohh... how sad. I'm glad that you explained that ONE memory we got to see of Snape's childhood. It makes sense and while this Snape is a little less vindictive than most I've read, it's a very calming story to read -- especially in the middle of the night! :)
