I'm a forty-something American woman who is addicted to the SSHG pairing, relatively new to this fandom. I'm also considering starting some original fiction soon...

Check out the story I co-wrote with Remarkable -- it's called "Hidden Attractions" and (as soon as it's through the queue) it's archived under the penname remarkable_linlawless.

For those who are interested, I've got two WIPs at my website (which I will eventually post here, but not until I have a complete draft).  It's easy and free to join the website, so I hope you'll visit!

I am honored that my story, Witchy Woman, has been selected as a featured story for September 2010.  Better yet, this honor came with the very awesome banner at the top of this post!

Here's a couple of banners my friend Atuliel made for the two WIPs at my website:

The banter between Snape and Hermione was excellent! A very witty response to the prompt. Well done.

LOL!  Crookshanks has a way of putting his stamp on everything.

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)

He really does, doesn't he?  And I'm guessing he can't imagine why anyone would be unhappy about that! ;)

Heeee!  So true!  Last time I changed a lightbulb I'm sure I saw cat hairs inside it - and the ginger beast responsible lives next door!! Cat hair.  The only substance that sticks to teflon.

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)

Oh, no kidding!  I once bought a suit for an interview, and I didn't bring it in the house, nor did I take it out of the bag from the time I bought it until I put it on in the hotel room.  And it *still* had cat hair on it!Thanks for commenting! :D

Very funny!  I can just see Crooksie giving Severus and Hermione the 'cat blink', like 'she should be thanking me'.Poor Neville.  Why is it always Neville?

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)

Well, of course Crooksie thinks they should be thanking him!  Why would anyone not want the life of a feline?!  It just *had* to be Neville.  The muse insisted, and I've learnt not to argue with the muse. ;)

LOL!  I'm allergic to cat hair, so I REALLY  appreciated this!

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)

LOL, glad you liked it!  I'm sure your allergy means that every feline in a fifty-mile radius is constantly trying to befriend you. :D  Thanks for reviewing!

I'm sure that Crooksie will not be able to see the problem, he will consider it a vast improvement.

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)

A very fair point!  Felines don't have any problems with self-esteem, do they? Thanks for reviewing! :D

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)

LOL It is so true that cat hair does get into everything. The one thing I don't miss about my dear departed kitties.

Response from linlawless (Author of The Unexpected Culprit)
