Reviews for Summer School (For The Romantically Challenged)
Another life debt? Why is it that Slytherins always owe life debts to Gryffindors, but somehow Gryffindors never owe left debts to Slytherins? I suppose it's just more proof that Gryffindors are innately selfish and never save anyone's life out of simple human decency, but only so they can gain a life-long servant. Oh well, if Severus weren't enslaved to some arrogant Gryffindor or other the entire Potterverse would probably explode.

You know... Slytherins sometimes owe life debts to other Slytherins too - although that would be revealing too much about Chapter 5.... :) Pxx

Great letters, indeed. You also manage admirably to develop why writing all the letters IS necessary. Floating, neongreen vomit--brrrr. I cannot help but think that Hermione's first letter to Snape is FAR less caustic than it could/should be. She complains that he sent Lucius where she ought to be furious about a messed date!? She's very obviously touched that Severus did something at all instead of just ignoring her personal life. BTW Severus' letter from Aug4 was replied to on Aug3 ;-)

Aaargh! *rushes off to review letter dates while cursing dyslexic brain* Thanks for the review (and the heads up!). I do think that Hermione is battling her past history with Severus as she responds to his spectacularly inept attempt to exercise his jealous gene. What on earth does she seem ot see in Jerry anyway...?! Pxx

Still delightful. The back-and-forth between Severus and Lucius is terrific, poisonous fun. And Jerry's get-well card sort of gave me the shivers. He is not sounding quite so fun and bumbling. Very interested to see how things progress and what it's going to take for Severus to get back into Hermione's good graces.

Thanks! Jerry definitely has a darker side, for sure... Just what does Hermione see in him...? Next chapter will be up on Friday next week! Thank you for taking the time to review!! Pxx

"Nice try, Snape.Your note was in his pocket.HG"That made me laugh. Men think they can lie and, as long as they don't get caught, they think they've won. Glad to see he got caught. Also glad that Lucius lost his hair. Excellent revenge for one so vain.

Thanks! Glad you liked it - it was fun to have Snape's plans fal apart due to Lucius' ineptitude. *Evil titter*. And yes, hair loss was the only possible thing to do to Lucius - good thing that Hermione can think Slytherin under pressure! More coming soon! Pxx

Oh, the exchanges among Hermione, Ginny, Snape, and Lucius were just too precious for words! The final jewel for me was the get well card from Snape's class, which sounded like something torn from a high school yearbook. Well done! It's difficult to write well in this format; you're making it look effortless. Brava!hm88

Hi there hm88! Lovely to hear from you again! Glad you liked the chapter - I had great fun with the Get Well Soon cards - originally this story was written in JPEGs - so I was able to find a number of hideous cards and scan them in... but I think the jokes work just as well in theri 'naked' form... More coming next week! Only two more chapters to go...! Pxx

*Grins* SO glad you are finding it funny! Pxx
I sense Snape will be on the receiving end of Hermione' s temper for messing with the date. Someone should've warned "boom boom"about messing with a Slytherin. Lol
Response from Proulxes (Author of Summer School (For The Romantically Challenged))
Erm... yes... somewhat...! He is in deeeeep trouble. But somehow I don't think he will see it in those terms! Pxx
*Giggles* Love Snape using the Quill. On to the next chapter.

Thank you - I was channelling a lot of snarky insecurity during this story. Pxx
Loving this so far! I love how you set this up as correspondents between the characters. I've read other stories set like that and enjoyed them. Ok, enough rattling on....see you in chapter 2.
