Almost makes you feel sorry for Snape. He is caught in a bad position between the good guys and bad guys. Hermione ... I think she can hold her own. So far, anyway. *is nervous*

Snape always walked a difficult line in DH; it broke my heart how alone he was. I'm trying to give him a better year!
I am both relieved and disappointed. I am not bothered that there was no enforced sex, but rather for a moment I wanted them to jump wildly out of character and curl up together in a big ball of comfort. But then I would have been disappointed by the OOC moment. I'm a difficult customer, eh? This is great so far, might as well keep going.

I am both a sucker for marriage law fics, and a glutton for punishment for starting yet another WIP. Poor Hermione, she is Snape's "something unpleasant about to happen." Off to find out more ...

Thanks -you're the only one to have got that reference, or the only one to say it, anyway. Your wait should be only as long as the validation process takes for all the chapters, as I've nearly got this one finished.

The somebody in question (Hermione, I presume) is very confused about her feelings for a known Death Eater. Next chapter is in the queue; I think you might like that better (but no, there is no spanking!)
Hermione should be showing some of that cleverness and figuring a few things out soon or I'll have to swipe that Sev from her. ;-)

Thank you! I usually write conpletely canon compliant so fitting in the MLC is a challenge. Am hastily rereading Deathly Hallows to keep everything in line with canon!
