Harry is making assumptions about Snape having been abused. We know Eileen and Tobias had an unhappy marriage that involved a lot of arguing, and that Severus had an unhappy childhood because of it. It's possible that there was physical abuse going on as well as emotional abuse, maybe directed against Severus as well as Eileen, but Harry does not know that based on the snippets of memory he saw.

If you want to include an abusive (as opposed to merely unhappy) childhood for Severus in your fanfic, that's perfectly legit, but Harry doesn't know for sure. As usual he's making assumptions based on insufficient evidence. I trust the Aurors will train that out of him.
