I'm a forty-something American woman who is addicted to the SSHG pairing, relatively new to this fandom. I'm also considering starting some original fiction soon...

This is such a sweet chapter, and I have this mental picture of the two of them sitting together talking, and Severus thinking about a black haired, black eyed darling.
He just hoped she got her mother's nose. Made me laugh!

Arrrgggghhh! That was the most inconvenient timing ever! Between her hair and his buttons and those two dunderheads, I almost threw a fit. LOL! Luckily for me the next chapter is waiting.

Finally! Even though Severus had been thinking about sex, I wonder just how much of Hermione's eloquent argument came about because she was thinking about it, too?
I'd bet my wand that both of them have been thinking about it.

“My life is already miserable,” Severus replied. “I doubt anything you can do will make it worse.”
This is totally Snape. Along with the fear of being paired with Trelawney, I imagine Severus is certain at least that he won't be bored to tears with Hermione. Good choice, Severus!
Now on to the next chapter to see what happens. Woo hoo!

What a lovely chapter! I'm just giddy with Severus' admission of love for his wife. Of course he loves her. How could they not love each other? They're perfect together.

Awww ... this was just precious. Just don't let Severus know I called him precious. I can't bear to imagine a month of detention with Filch. I liked the way it was written back and forth between past and present. I also like that they didn't get married and then were instantly happy, nor was the story stuffed full of angst. It had just the right amount of everything. Thanks for sharing such a sweet little tale.

This reminds me of the lines to an old bawdy folk song--"He led her to the barn and he led her to the hay, he led her to the barn and he led her to the hay, he led her to the barn where she dragged him all the way!" Wouldn't it be funny if this sudden fear of discovery was a ruse by Hermione to get things moving without it looking like she wants to get things moving?Look forward to reading what happens next!
