That was lovely, dj. I wonder if Severus realizes how high maintenance he is, needing all that verbal reassurance when all he has to do is look into her eyes. Happy ending once again. *sigh*

That's a good question. Do we ever realize when we're high maintenance? I don't think so, unless we're incredibly in tune. Not sure Severus is there. Possibly... Luckily, Hermione knows him well and can put up with him.
This is great! You put in all the elements of both prompts in! I really like his jealousy of the couples when he is alone. It is very realistic. Of course Hermione is clever enough to see through his ruse. Nicely done!

Me too! She gets what she wants, usually. It did take her a minute, though, to figure it out.
