my catalyst into the world of hp fanfic was the ignominious death of severus snape by snakebite in dh. grrrrr. he deserved better, and i set off on a mission to find it! i appreciate and admire the vast and limitless creativity of all of the wonderful writers on this site and in this fandom.
accordingly, for me it's mostly about snape: ss/le, ss/hg, ss/rl are my favorite ships. i especially like happy endings for those who did not get them at the hands of jkr.

lol.To answer your disclaimer: I would.Uhuhu. The pets' names are a pain. It's a wonder Severus doesn't develop a gastric ulcer just from calling them out loud.He must be madly in love to tolerate all that pet business (and the names). That phantom itchiness that they both develop was the most funny part. I remember one of my late cats having fleas all the time and - despite the fleas not being interested in me - I was scratching myself all the time.I just love your Severus in here. Snarkyness and playful dominance aside: He cares so much, although he would never admit it. He's so easeful, calm and settled. It's a cushy, warming story. And that's what I remember when I leave. Even this time I was very suprised to find a dose of smut in it!I think I read that little one for the fifth time now. Finally I managed to leave you a review. *pats herself on the back*

i had to go read my disclaimer again to see what you were responding to and - *glomps* *squishes*erm. okay, on to the review. hee hee - yeah, i do kind of foist onto these boys an obsession with queen, but i think it's appropriate given their age. and i think the names suggest this vision of severus rolling his eyes but going along with what remus wants - why? because he cares more than he'd ever admit. so i'm glad you picked up on that.and i'm happy it has stood up to repeated readings for you! *grins happily*
interesting idea but you never answered to the part of severus scratching his own head due to the fleas.

well, nor remus for that matter. perhaps you'd like to take another star off for that. ;)
"It's simple, really. It has to be somebody's fault, and it certainly can't be my fault, ergo, it must be your fault."That is pure Snape. Love it! :)

tee hee. glad you liked it. (a boyfriend actually said something like that to me once, and it seemed perfect as i was writing this story.) thanks so much for the review and those pretty shinies. :D
Who knew that Severus would love animals. All animals.
Response from kittylefish (Author of Flea-Bitten)
i like to think that animals would be one way to get past his gruff exterior. :)
*g* Loved it. As I own both cats and a dog, I know this is exactly what they'd do in the middle of the night, and how they would behave facing a bath. Like Snape and Lupin, the two terrors are very much in character. Great story, dear!
Response from kittylefish (Author of Flea-Bitten)
thanks, hon! i'm glad you found the animals to be believable. the cat is based primarily on my own dear, sweet feline companion, and the dog upon my sister's loveable pooch. thanks for the review, and the pretty shinies. :D
Very cute idea; I read this with a smile on my face the whole way through. Delightful. Thanks for sharing.

i'm so glad you liked it. thanks for the nice review. :D
This was very beautiful. The ending took me by surprise, pulled at my heartstrings and made me shiver!"My life. My love, he thought. That's quite a lot to answer for."And, as per usual, your portrayal of Snape and Lupin was dead on!Snape was snarky to perfection (on the surface, of course!) "It's simple, really. It has to be somebody's fault, and it certainly can't be my fault, ergo, it must be your fault," Severus explained. LOL!I didn't find him too soft... "He hooked one of Remus's legs over his arm, while his other searched out Remus's opening, exploring, inquisitive. Finding him ready, eager even, he pushed his way in." *Guh*Very well done, my dear!!! I enjoyed the touches of humour, the hawt sex, and the wonderful, touching ending.

thank you so much, my dear

! i'm so glad you liked it, especially the ending. :Di must tell you, that bit of dialogue you quoted was actually said to me once by a boyfriend (though he just said 'so' rather than 'ergo'). since he was laughing at himself as he said it, he is still walking the earth rather than buried six feet under. ahem.
Adorable! I love Severus' inner monologue and the fact that he's in character, but showing his softer side.
Response from kittylefish (Author of Flea-Bitten)
thanks, sweetie! i'm glad you think he's still in character and i didn't soften him up too much - just enough so he can find some happiness, i like to think. :D
christ, i wish i'd remembered you wrote snupin sooner! i LOVE this story--domestic stories are always awesome. they seem so much more *real*.
Response from kittylefish (Author of Flea-Bitten)
i'm so glad you liked this story. snupin really is my otp (i almost wrote my drug of choice - lol!) so it's always nice to find someone who appreciates it. :D
