Enjoy!
Reviews for To Conquer Her
OK now I'm starting to feel sorry for Draco.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
:-DI am going to take that as a great compliment.More is in the queue... can't wait to see what you think!
I like this side of Draco. He may learn something yet.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
mmmaybe :-D
Well, it's nice that they were able to compromise. I don't think I would want to be in Hermione's shoes however.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
It definitely hasn't been easy or simple for her.
I love how you managed to include Severus in this story.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Thanks!I lurve Sev! I had to give him a little somethin' somethin', you know?
Poor Hermione, I totally understand how she feels. It's a pity her friends don't get it, although I see their point of view as well.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Definitely a tricky situation....
I love the way they look at children.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
children are miracles, and should be loved universally, or so i believe...
Fun, Lucius will feel things from a new perspective. Literally.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Yeah... *snrt*
Looks like the stuff will hit the fan shortly. Very entertaining.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Darn consequences! always getting in the way of the fun...
Well, well, well, it seems to me what's good for the gander was good for the goose.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
mmhmm, that's right! I hate when Hermione's too goody-goody. The girl needs to live a little. ... in a Hermione kind of a way, at least.
The doll is a interesting tool, will we learn about how it works?
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
It's just the embodiment of Draco's Fantasy Hermione. The people in our dreams aren't actually the people they represent, but our imaginations playing dolls.
Will her mark lead them to her? Can't quite remember...

I think I read this at another site, but I'm still enjoying the story.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
It is posted elsewhere. I'm glad it's standing up on re-read!
Oh, someone needs an attitude adjustment... and I bet Hermione is just the girl to give him one.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
If by "attitude adjustment" you mean "a swift kick in the arse" then... yeah!
I just want you to know that I was in an absolute tizzy for the last few days while I waited for your story to be updated.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
*hangs head in shame*new chapter's in queue now! i promise not to be such a dunderhead in the future.
I'm absolutely hooked on this story!
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
YAY! Thanks!
They seem to have finally met in the middle! I look forward to the wedding!

*twirls maniacal mustache* ... new chapter in queue...
I can't believe she's going to marry him. I know she signed a contract but still... At least she enjoyed meeting with her friends.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Yes... at least she is no longer a fugitive of the marrige law... she can come and see her friends any time...
That manipulative douchebag! I can't see why the council's allowed him to get this far- surely they could have forced him to remove the mark somehow, and it shouldn't go against their morals since it is, in a way, enslaving a member of their community. I know they like fresh blood, but his is bad blood, and I'm having a hard time accepting their decision. (Yes, it's fiction, but it's good enough that I'm feeling passionate about it!)
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
I'm glad you're passionate about it. I'm passionate about it!I tried to make Draco the ultimate Slytherin, and the ultimate Malfoy. What would Draco Malfoy do?and then ...What would Hermione Granger do?...I mean, that's what makes it fun right?
I knew he wouldn't be so obedient for long. But I fear what she proposed. She may regret it later. You know it's weird. Usually I'm not opposed to a Dramione, often siding with him when he doesn't act dark and rape her. But I don't know why, I can't help but be very reticent about him in this story. I don't trust him. Maybe because of what he's done to her since the beginning. I wonder if I will like him better alongside her as the story and their interaction go. I'll let you know how much you influence my vision of him.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
It's a dilemma, right? I can't wait to hear your thoughts as more goes up!
I'm surprised by his good will to do what he's told. Of course it's only been a few days. I wonder how much time he will keep that behaviour, considering his naughty thought about his Professor.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Draco has, can, and will do whatever it takes to get Hermione. He should have no problem training with her, right?Right?
It's really a wonder that she agreed to become his wife after everythings she's come through. Or maybe she doesn't want to aknoledge her true feelings yet. I'm really curious about what will happen and how she'll cope with him from now on.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
I don't think she would have if it weren't for that mark. She can't get rid of him. At least this way, it won't be so crazy and out of her control.
Hmm, Draco thinks he's won a victory, but I wonder if he won't be wishing Hermione was his instructor again when he gets her replacement! All things considered, she's been pretty understanding of his hijinks...will another teacher who is virtually a stranger do the same? Looking forward to finding out!
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Thats the downfall of being a mature person. Poor Hermione has to do virtuous things all the time!

Humility is good for the soul, Draco! And I can't help but think that being in a position of power and authority over him will help Hermione get some of the anger and resentment she's felt for the past several years out of her system. It'll be good for both of them.
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
Yes, Draco has a lot to learn about where his place is! and Hermione, I think, can show him just where it is!
"Mother has a lot of jewellery," Draco added helpfullyThat was the best line! Not that Draco's much better, as things stand he'd be finding himself buying Hermione a lot of jewellery too if the wedding had taken place... Marcela's right, keep the blond men from talking to Hermione! It's the only way Draco has a ghost of a chance.I can certainly understand Hermione feeling as though she's been betrayed by the very people she sought sanctuary with; they made the offer to Draco without even giving her any advance warning about it. But I'm sure what they're thinking is that the bond is there between them permanently--Hermione's only chance at true happiness is if Draco can be made into a better man and either withdraw the bond of his own free will or at least make it less of a shackle to her. Mage training with these people sounds as though it's as much about altering one's way of thinking about themselves and the world around them as it is of learning new types of power. Change your mind and change the world. And maybe then the Malfoys won't have to buy so many baubles to get themselves out of the doghouse anymore!
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
I love your thoughts on the story so far. I think it's about time that someone put those malfoy men inline. I often wonder what it's like between Draco and Lucius, and i feel like good natured barbs are occasionally acceptable.
And with a bit of luck, while training Draco will learn to share his toys...
Response from sapphire_phoenix (Author of To Conquer Her)
A bit of luck and a healthy sprinkle of persuasion... ;-D
