Very nice post-DH (somewhat) tale of family and friends gathering, and best of all, no Hr/R. Thank you!

nice! i agree with some of your other reviews, i do rather long to know what happens next - but i have a good imagination so i can fill in the blanks.  :)  i love that you resurrected everybody - made me very happy.  and geez, that was an awful lot of babies.

That was great.
Really funny and witty and sweet. Shame it's a oneshot!

Love this story. I've got the butteries and humming birds too.

like how the older boys were taking it out on ron about baby proofing. i like how the thistle was being grown in neveille's garden. and i like how snape was integrating himself.

Just as it should have been.

Subversa, I have loved your writing for a long time. You have a very touching way of drawing the reader in. I don't know of a single story of yours I have not shead a tear over or had a good giggle at.

Please keep writing.

lmao... I read this before going in to work yesterday and I had Severus in my head, saying 'hullo boss' the whole day, it made me chuckle a lot! heehee... I really liked this - it could go further, with a bit of a shove... maybe?

Response from Subversa (Author of No Assistance Required)

I wrote it over a year ago and never posted it until now, to score some points over at OWL for Ravenclaw.  It surprises me how many of you are requesting more on this story.  It does make me think ...

Is this really a one-shot??? Because I would love you even more if you posted a sequel!!!

Oh pretty please Subverse, you have GOT to make this more than a one-shot! Please pretty please--a multi-chapter continuance, with complete details---pretty please with acres of chocolate-covered cherries on top???

(can you tell I liked this a teensy little bit?)

Oh--and THANK YOU for the TOTALLY NON-CANON approach!

Once again you've written a great story fill with promise for the future for Hermione and Severus.  I enjoyed Hermione's case of butterflies every time Severus spoke to her.  She's got it bad, and I think he does, too.

Now I'm imagining their walk through Diagon Alley.  Being invisible has it's advantages.  Holding hands, walking arm in arm, a bit like being in your own private world.  Possibilities abound.

Thank your daughter for sharing her birthday gift with us!  I love Subversa stories with a passion, and this one doesn't disappoint.  Well done!

I love it when there is lots of babies like this. And I think Snape will be quite happy to be under Hermione...

Invisible sex in Diagon Alley?  Oh I hope so but maybe a bit too soon for that :o(
Enjoyed this first chapter a great deal, can't wait for more.

Can't get over the mashed parsnips for breakfast... My third pregnancy put me off mashed parsnips for years! :)

What a wonderful birthday present...your daughter is a very lucky young woman!  I enjoyed the "what if" alternate future myself, and you won't hear anything bad from me regarding throwing out chunks of DH wholesale.  Thanks for sharing this with us as well!

You write such wonderful stuff!  Although this is a one-shot, you haven't stinted on the sort of details you'd put into a longer piece.  Not  only names for the children, but a spell to keep them corralled, Lavender wishing for parsnips for breakfast, Whistle Thistle, just to name a few

And in reviving our favourite characters, you haven't forgotten Dobby, for which I thank you.  he's my favourite character.

Oh, I couldn't help but think of Mr Darcy at Hunsford Parsonage when Severus stopped to talk to Hermione, and then left her again after only a few words.

Thanks to your daughter for sharing her gift  with us!

Well done, Subversa. I enjoyed seeing everyone having a good time. Severus was so cute, telling jokes in his own way. Severus, cute, yes, in a dark, handsome kind of way, lol. Sooo, inquiring minds want to know, what happened next? ~Imperio~ You want to add more to the story! ;)

I think I left an anonymous review before.  Oops.  Anyway, I really have enjoyed this and want to read more.

Lovely story.  Poor Hermione, stuck with Severus for the evening.  Looks like the start of a beautiful relationship.  Hmmm... wonder if the potion worked?  :D

What can I say, except how wonderful to have new Subversa to read! SQUEE!This really could be expanded to a fuller story about their fledgling working relationship. Just saying........hint, hint, nudge, nudge.

Response from Subversa (Author of No Assistance Required)

Thank you, sweetheart.  I recently read "Send Not to Know" for my daughter ... editing out *some* parts ... and told her it was your favourite of mine.  Yes, this could be expanded - but isn't it fun imagining where *you* would take it, if it were your story?  You can write your own happy ending ...

Whats the word that means dating in the work place? I am drawing a blank. Anyway I hope there isnt a policy against that at the ministry or our couple is in trouble.

Yeah for Subversa's daughter. I like all the babies and peace that the future has brought. Plus you named one of the children after my baby so naturally I was all mushy as soon as I spotted her name.

Sounds like the beginning of a beautiful friend/relationship.

I must admit that being surrounded by that many babies/todlers/little kids would fray my nerves. I have two teenagers. Been there, done that, but I could never have worked at a preschool. I share Hermione's relief at escaping and excitement at the company she will escape with!
