I am a 37 year old wife and mother and began reading fanfiction in the middle of last year.  Soon it revived my desire to write, which had lain dormant for a number of years, and I couldn't be happier.  I do hope you enjoy my stories as I empty my head of them.

Thanks to MMADfan I proudly ship AD/MM, and thanks to OSUSprinks I proudly ship FF/PS.  I am also rather fond of SS/OC and am beginning to appreciate the SS/HG ship thanks to Subversa.

Happy Reading and writing!!

Cheers!!

Albus has a wicked sense of humor, the muggle borns will have to explain to the others.

Sounds like a really fun party otherwise!  Loved Albus taking Minerva to a Halloween party store.

Thanks, dear.  I am so very happy you liked this interlude into the Halloween spirit.

My thoughts were with Arabella Bloodgood, about the challenge.  Well, Challenge or not, it's a funny tale and very endearing!  Thank you for sharing it with us.  Wishing you a happy Hallowe'en.  And HAppy New Year, for Hallowe'en is the ancient Celtic new year.

Response from Stefdarlin (Author of To Carve a Pumpkin)

Thank you!  I am very happy you enjoyed it.  Maybe I can think of something for next year.  Happy New Year to you, too!Cheers,Stef =o)

This would have been brilliant for the challenge, prompt #14, Stef.  I love all the costumes.  The plug and outlet was too funny,  when Albus fell on Minerva, did they make an connection. lol  Who won the candy for a whole year?  Did they get a free dentist as well?  lol  Brilliant work, but of course, it's from you.

Response from Stefdarlin (Author of To Carve a Pumpkin)

Aw, you have me blushing here.  Next time there is a list of challenge prompts, you need to tell me which one I should do.  I honestly didn't realize this met the stipulations for a challenge prompt.  I read through some of them, but there were so many that I gave up. *sigh*Anyway, glad you got the plug and outlet, lol  And I am thinking that perhaps we may not find out who won the candy until next year.  Sprinkles asked me what Minerva's idea of a Happy Halloween might be, so I have got to sit down and think about a sequel. Thanks for your wonderful words and review. Cheers,Stef

What a delightful story!  I liked the kind and loving couple Albus and Minerva you have portrayed.Snape's costume character as The Highwayman was a brilliant touch that sort of mirrors the sadness of the life of canon Snape:Soon, the tables cleared of food and rearranged to a position along the walls to make way for the ball. Eventually, Hermione cornered Professor Snape and asked him what his costume was.“I presume you know your literature, Miss Granger…” He looked down his nose at her. “Please refer to the poet, Alfred Noyes,” he provided and turned on his heel to stalk away.“Ahh, you’re the Highwayman, aren’t you?” Hermione shouted after him to which he turned and gave a slight nod. Again, he turned with a flourish and left the room. The poem by Alfred Noyes is wonderfully lyrical and tells the story of the love between an inn-keeper's daughter and the robber who loves her.  And Loreena McKennitt has a beautiful rendition of the poem set to music. For anyone who is interested, I have links to each of the above items, and will add them to this review after I've submitted.  (If I tried to add them now, I would be locked out of TPP.)I enjoyed your story very much!  Thank you.Beth

Yes, Severus strikes me as the Highwayman.  I have the Loreena McKennitt cd: Book of Secrets, which has the rendition you are talking about.  It kept coming to mind while I wrote this.I was hoping for delightful.  I thought that a little light-hearted fun for Halloween was needed. And I am delighted that you enjoyed the story. Thanks for the links and the review,Stef =o)

And thank YOU for your review, my dear.  There is nothing like a nice and fluffy piece for this time of year.  I love to tickle funny bones.

A plug and an outlet? I hope there weren't too many Muggle students to figure that one out. Cute story. An early Halloee'en treat.

Response from Stefdarlin (Author of To Carve a Pumpkin)

Thanks for your review, I am glad you liked it.  Not too many figured it out, heh.

*snip*Minerva turned to Albus who suddenly found the night sky fascinating. “Albus?”My favorite line from the whole story - I found this absolutely adorable and endearing! *grins* I love that Dumbledore gets hair-brained ideas just for fun - seeing this version of Albus - with Minerva, enjoying life is so much more satisfying than canon Albus, who seems so sad.I love this! Especially the couples costume! HAHA! Plug and socket! My only complaint is - I wanted to know what the kids carved! I would have enjoyed learning who chose what kind of design and how well they did.But that's a minor detail.

Response from Stefdarlin (Author of To Carve a Pumpkin)

I am so sorry I left this unanswered for so long! I am very glad you liked it.  It was a lot of fun to write.  Thank you so much for your review.  Stef
