Severus will have to cultivate patience to deal with Cassy in this area. I suspect there is more about her and her lack of interest in returning to the Wizarding World than we know at this time.

I think Cassy may want to rethink her lack of family. Wasn't Cissy a Black? Although she was a death eater's wife she did lie to the Dark Lord about Harry being dead which bought time to recoup. Draco would have been her nephew. I would think they would want to line themselves up with the light just to regain social standing. A poor way to start a family relationship, but it would be a start.

I think Hogwarts needs Severus as much as he needs Hogwarts. The school was home to three misplaced boys if I remember correctly. Tom Riddle, Severus Snape and Harry Potter all found a place within it's walls. It's nice how you are making it come round full circle.

Damn that man's infernal pride. Self preservation indeed. As you can see I'm pretty involved in the story. Great job keeping Severus well within canon with his prickly, suspicious and snarky behaviors.
