A little flat. I suppose I expected a bit more emotion, some rage on Colleen's part, tears from his son, mabe his son to plead with him or I dunno... I thought Marlene was too calm, not questioning anything. In fact everyone was just too accepting. I was a bit surprised.

Boy, things sure are moving fast!

Seems to me that Minerva was a little too quick to forgive -- and to welcome him back into her bed. I hope she doesn't regret her hasty actions.

And now Dumbledore will find out what really happened, and who is behind Alastor's actions. His mum better run for cover!

At last, Dumbledore knows something is amiss!

What a bitch! And Alastor Moody is working against Albus Dumbledore? Yowza! What a turn of events.

I'm not sure I'm understanding why Minerva is choosing to remain in hiding. Is the wizarding world so misguided that they would ostracise her because she has a child out of wedlock? What will happen when Lily is old enough to attend Hogwarts?

Sheesh ... Dumbledore comes off as a real sleaze-bag in this chapter, doesn't he?

I feel a little sorry for his wife, wasn't her fault (I don't think), and I definitely feel sorry for his son. Hopefully, they'll still be on good terms. Happy for Minerva and her daughter though.

Is Colleen a part of the grand plan Kendra had cooked up? If so I think Albus could get custody, that just seemed to easy. I think Colleen is going to disappear.Update soon!

Kendra sounds like a very nasty piece of work.

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

She certainly is, my dear!Thank you for the review!

I have to admit I am disappointed that Colleen and Albus did't discuss anything.  And young Albert needs to know the truth of the situation, as much as he can at his age.  I do hope Albus can talk to him soon. I can't believe Albus wouldn't insist on discussing it with Colleen after finding out he'd been imperiused for years!  But perhaps he is still stunned by it all and will act later.Thank you for the update.  I hope you don't take my opinions as meanness.

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

Of course I don't take your opinions as meanness - I love constructive criticism!Anyway, Albus is still stunned by his discovery, and he was also stunned that Colleen knew about him and Minerva.  Also, he didn't discuss it with her because he did not want her to take away his son for good - he didn't want to look a gift horse in the mouth, so to speak.  Anyway, it's not that simple - things get a LOT more complicated as time goes on.Thank you, as always, for your review!

Did that seem too easy or what?  I don't think this went as well as they think.  At least they are finally together and together they can face anything.

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

You're right - it didn't go as well as they think.  Colleen and Kendra have a few tricks up their sleeves...Thank you for the review, dear!

That seems too easy, when will the other shoe drop? Was his wife in on his mother's plan?

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

You'll find out if Colleen was in on Kendra's plan in later chapters...  Thank you for the review!

Enjoying this very much.  Go, Fawkes!  Looking forward to the next chapter.  I think Minerva will have a few choice words for Albus! <understatement!>

Looking forward to more.  How Moody's actions can ever be explained is till a mystery!  Very interesting.  I am a little concerned about violence in later chapters, per your warnings, but have determined to read all the entries!Good old Fawkes!  It took Albus a long time to shake off that spell, didn't it?

10/10

pookah

Ohh what a creepy Moody!  and Good old Fawkes!  Love that bird!  Thanks for answering some questions.  Wha nasty parents,Albus has!    this is very interesting and original!

Good for her!  Albus needs to be a man, now, and talk to Colleen.  ANd Minerva is right not to accept scraps from another woman's table.  Like the song says, "Ya better go home, son, and make up your mind!"Boyo!  Doesn't this put Moody in a weird light?  *Hurries off to read next chapter!*

I wonder if the dream was prophetic in any way, or just a nightmare.  I think I still believe Albus is a prick in this story.

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

A prophetic dream... hmm, never thought about that!  Thank you for that idea!  And I don't think that you'll believe that Albus is a prick after you read the next chapter - it has quite a surprising twist!Thank you for your review!

She can't stay in hiding forever.  I wonder what Albus is thinking?

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

Oh how heart wrenching. rejected and choosing to live alone in a secluded village just to avoid everyone she knew. Then to have that album of clippings just to torture herself furthur. I really feel for Minerva. Why did Fawkes come to see the girl? Does he know it's Albus' daughter? Oh I hope so. Maybe he'll fly to her after Albus' funeral?

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

Yes, Fawkes does know that Marlene is Albus's daughter, and he's seeing if she's all right.  But I'm not sure what you mean about Albus's funeral - do you mean in Book 6?Thank you for your review!

So that explains why albus abandonded her. Typical.

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

It's not the full explanation though - more will be revealed in the future chapters.

Why, those two...! I could just...! ARGH! *shakes fist*I hope all is not as it seems. I smell a beetle. Is Rita Skeeter old enough that this could have been her work? It certainly sounds like her. On the other hand she would have had to learn from someone.

Response from diana_hawthorne (Author of Lily Marlene)

I don't think that Rita is old enough to have written this - it is her predecessor.I'm glad that you're enjoying the story!  Thanks for your review!
