I am in my 40s and I recently had two books published - Mike and the Deaf Student and Crayons - Color My World. They are both on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Reviews for A Hero's Farewell
Well said, a pity this did not happen in canon ( that we know of) very well done . Thank you.
Wow Snape was like his Aunt Petunia? Hard to believe but the similarities are uncanny. Nice work. One more to go!
I am so glad Harry is the one to do this.
This is a good start and since I just found this story I get to read the whole thing at once.
Very fitting....i think that someone should have done that for Snape..

I just reread this. Apparently I don't remember reading it before. It was so sad. Yet so good.
Very good. *claps*
Very nicely done. I can imagine it happening just like this. And I like the touch of the doe at the end of the story. That really brings closure for Harry.

What a sweet ending!
Harry is making amends, growing up
Nice start
Even though his aunt and uncle didn’t like him, his aunt, at least, had begged her husband to allow him to stay so that he was protected. With Professor Snape, he knew that he hadn't liked him because he looked so much like his father. But, just like with his aunt, he had protected him.WOW I never thought of that similarity before! Amazingly accurate I think.
I think its just perfect that Harry carries Snape in his arms. It speaks of his forgiveness and his need to cuddle :D
A pensive, thoughtful Harry how refreshing!
You have ended your story on a perfect note. Well done!
I especially like the 'dawn of a new era' line. And where Harry reflects that Snape wanted him to know the truth. I had wished pre-DH that Snape would talk to Harry about everything he'd ever done, and it was sad they didn't get that chance. But they did. In your story. Harry understands Snape now, and will tell the truth in return. Thanks.
That scene was beautifully described. It seems very fitting for Harry's character to stand there reflecting and to blurt out those thoughts. I'm glad he is resolved to clear up everything and make sure people know the truth about him.
This story is already promising to fulfill my needs of seeing what Harry went through immediately post-War. I look forward also to Severus Snape getting the farewell he deserves.
I liked the wording on his tomb. And the doe's thanks at the end. This was a really beautiful story. Sad, but just right. This should have been the end of DH!
*Wipes away tears*This is the sort of ending I wish JKR had had for Snape. This is a truly beautiful story, thank you.
I love how Harry is starting to see things through Snape's eyes, not through his normally blinkered ones.
This really is a beautiful story. It is just the sort of thing I could imagine going through Harry's mind.
Such a poignant beginiing. Really wonderful start to the story.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it.
Oh God, I cried reading this.
A beautiful epitaph, one he truly deserved. It's a shame JKR didn't write one for him.
thank you for this. it certainly gave him more dignity than JKR did. thanks.
