Very heartbreaking to see them split, but I agree it had to be. His declaration of love was way too late and only when his hand was forced. At least Ron was honest and open.

Definitely heartbreaking, but it was necessary, as you have well noted. My goal was to bring readers around to a place where they thought Ron/Hr was viable. (SS/HG shippers are so quick to hate poor Ronald.) I am glad that that was able to happen.

So she made him 'earn' her back... Way to go, Hermione! A poignant, beautiful story of a long, arduous, conquered love, for both sides.Bravo!

Beautiful story. Definitely one of my favorites. I really love the develop of the plot and how you were able to invoke so much emotion in the characters. Particularly I enjoyed the message that it is possible to have more than one love, more than one type of love and that it is possible to find a lost love once again.
