I have thoroughly enjoyed writing in the Harry Potter fandom, especially for this particular pairing, for quite some time.
However, as the end of an era is upon us, I am withdrawing myself from fanfiction writing. It has nothing to do with the way the series ended -- no unhappiness whatsoever on my part for how JKR handled the series. Quite the opposite.
I am so enamored with how she has written our beloved Snape and his lifelong love of Lily Evans-Potter. I am completely convinced of the growing relationship that has persisted between Ron and Hermione.
It is out of respect for these characters, canon pairings, and the great author herself that I put down my quill, so to speak, and let them live on in my memory as the way they were intended. :)
I hope that anyone in the midst of a WIP will be forgiving and understanding of my decision, and I wish all the remaining writers/readers the best of luck.

I love this story so far. I never thought I would read one where Hermione was the one in prison.
It seems another wip has me hooked :) I hope you plan to update often...I have read countless Hermione defends Snape-stories and normaly I'm pretty bored by judge-scences - not in this on! It' so unique and misterious...I love it that you let the reader guess!Thank you for the suspense!

I definitely plan on it! I know a lot of people are turned off by WIPs, but I'm forcing myself to keep ahead of my submissions so that we don't hit any significant lags.

Good heavens, don't stop! This is such a unique and interesting story. We've seen countless Hermione-defends-Snape stories, it's great to see the opposite! Keep writing!

Oh dear, this doesn't look good for Hermione. That amulet thing seems to be a big clue though. Hmm...I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Cheers!

I don't get it. HG said she killed her parents, but she's on trial for killing Harry? Draco's testimony on the stand didn't clear anything up ... in fact it jumped around so much I don't see how anyone could get anything out of it.

The story isn't quite finished! ;) I can't explain every tiny thing in one chapter or else I'd be left with a whole new plot to work out! ^^ Hopefully you'll understand a little better when Snape speaks up.

Wow, Harry is dead?? I'm so sad! Usually if I start reading a fic and Harry dies, I stop reading it but with yours, I totally can't wait to read more!! It is great!

I honestly hadn't intended Harry to be dead when I got this idea in my head; I was pretty sad, myself, when it worked out that way!! ;) I'm glad you're continuing, that says a lot. Thanks!
Am really liking this so far, especially the descriptions of Hermione in and out of prison... Like her feelings on the guards hand on her elbow and seeing Malfoys ice water. Very good in painting the larger picture. :)

You're the first to comment on my very favorite parts of the chapter! Kudos! I was particularly fond of those bits, too; it kept me reminded that she was still Hermione, but an imprisoned Hermione. ^^ Thank you!

Wow, I wish you told us what Hermione did. The only thing I can think of is she killed Harry or maybe Ron. Incredible start I can't wait to see more. I also liked the illustration.

I hardly start WIPs with the first chapter. If I read them at all before they're finished, I at least wait to see whether the update is regular. Well, your story called out to me even with only one chapter and now I'm hooked. I dearly hope you're a regular updater. *keeping fingers crossed*

Talk about an intense beginning. The combination of the claustrophobic setting and that unanswered question of what it was she did really ratcheted up the tension. (Weird how disorienting it when Hermione's a pariah.) Great start and can't wait for the update.

I have you on my watch list on DA so I've seen the first couple of art pieces for this over the past couple of days and have been really intrigued (they're good pieces)... The story is definitely interesting. I can't wait to see what kind of circumstances led to her being incarcerated. :)I definitely like the way you've set up prison life... boredom and loneliness...
