Thank you! I wrote this piece after reading quite a lot of early nineteenth century literature recently. The rhythmic flow of the prose made me think of Snape, that he would write like that. Then, when this idea came to mind, I employed the style. Thanks to a plethora of commas, it seems to make sense!

Wow, great story. Very realistic words from Severus, he loves to speak formally. I also loved the whole concept of Hermione sneaking in and the fact that they didn't speak.

Thanks! This is probably the most in-character Snape I'll ever write, and I was blessed enough to write it from a first-person perspective. I'd always wanted to do that, so now it's done.It seemed more powerful to have Hermione turn ever so gently toward darkness. Words would have only clouded their emotions. They would have forced them both to think rationally, and that might have ruined everything. Instead, their instincts took over, right or wrong. And the wrong is so terribly fun to write...
You changed the ending! Didn't he say, "You say that like you have a choice." before?Still absolutely brilliant! There are so few intellectually stimulating AND erotically satisfying fics out there. THIS is one of them. It is so gratifying to be able to indulge the breadth of my enormous vocabulary in such a pleasing manner. Bravo!And I am still holding those chaps hostage!

Shana! Yes, I changed the ending. I'm fairly certain that I changed it around seventy times, give or take a few. It had to be short, to the point... So, there that is.Thank you!! *blush* I know you're biased, but I'll accept the compliments anyway. It is a vocabulary teaser, isn't it? That's Snape for you. He's what is formally known as a smarty-pants.

This was incredible. His prosaic letter left me breathless. The ending had my heart pounding in my chest. Beautifully written.

A great, sustained effort in eloquence. I wondered what style you had absorbed to do this, but your reply to Atropos answered my question. It also included some drama and intrigue.It went on a bit long for me, and it was a bit fluffy for me, but I’m impatient and rough-edged.
virtues and perfections... very nice, the way he smoothly scribed such words, ensnaring her senses not only visually and sexually from earlier, but now mentally as well.
