This schmaltzy fic was inspired by Southern_Witch_69's 2005 WIKTT "How Could It Be Christmas Challenge." Severus Snape has been exonerated for the crime of killing Albus Dumbledore, but wizarding society still shuns him. Hermione wants to help some poor soul for Christmas, as she will be spending it alone since she broke up with Ron recently, and her parents are going away for the holidays and didn't invite her along. This story was written originally in 2005 and is not DH compliant.

I adored every word! You wrote both Hermione and Severus perfectly in character, and I am hoping like crazy that you might be tempted to write a sequel. I will be checking out your other stories on The Masque and Ashwinder when it gets back online.Thank you for sharing this wonderful story!

Thanks. A sequel would be possible, but only when I'm done finishing some other fanfics that are incomplete right now that I'm working on. I have a few other short fanfics I wrote back in 2005 and 2006 that I haven't posted that I'll work on posting to TPP and Ashwinder this year.
aww, I really liked this story! each was totally in character, and you can completely tell where the story will go if it had kept going. (of course, I wouldn't object to a sequel! ) ;)
I like a clever Minerva, who is as tricksy as Dumbledore but with much kinder motives. Very glad that Severus' diet wll be much improved, and am especially glad that his library may not be forever lost to him. Happy Christmas to Severus and Hermione! Thank you for the fic.
