Hmmm, I've got a sneaky suspicion that the Ashes this year will be a a one-sided affair too - much as it pains me to admit it. ;)I do like the way this story is coming together. Every character has moved on, changed and grown (as they should have) with more complexity and depth all round. I like the fact that though Draco and Harry can argue about the worth of Granians and the cricket, they are more than acquantances and much less than enemies.But it's the tension waiting to pop between Severus, Lucius and Hermione. Should be a rather mammoth explosion when it all comes to a ~cough~ head. ;p

Oh, that mug was hysterical.And Hermione's associate running about trying to make sure things to go amiss was funny as well.

This is a fantastic start.  I'm finding I like Hugo very much here.  And Bonfoi wines!  Love it...I think Lucius may find his old friend particularly vexing in this situation, as he may expect Severus to be more in his pocket than Severus will actually be.  Looking forward to reading more.

Hugo's comment in the end were just perfect. As were Rose's observations. They both truly are the best possible combinations of Weasley and Granger. Very splendid.I'm crossing my fingers for Hermione's 'plan' (or whatever you'd call it) to work. We don't want her 'mystery admirer' to be too upset.

This looks adorable and fraught with personalities extraordinaire! A few stories I have been reading religiously have just been completed, fortunately I now have a new reason to do my morning "let's check and see if it's updated" ritual. Oh happy day!

I had Hermione invent shielding for muggle electronics as well in my story “Princely Names.” Great minds… You don’t indicate that Hermione becomes rich from it. I’m not sure how one would go about patenting spells so that Herms would get a royalty every time someone cast “Granger shielding,” but I didn’t worry about that detail. I just made certain that she was richer than Draco by quite a lot. I also avoided a Rose/Scorpius pairing (despite them both being Ravenclaws) by making Rose a lesbian, but that’s pure orneriness on my part. They really are an obvious couple. I look forward to seeing how you handle it. Everything is looking good, especially Severus’s delightful house elf.
