Three years have passed since the defeat of the Dark Lord, and Hermione Granger has returned to Hogwarts alone and broken hearted. The Golden Trio splintered after the victory and Hermione has been alone and drowning in studying abroad. Upon her return to Hogwarts, she must face the man she hasn't seen since her graduation and learn if he could ever forgive her for the pain she dealt him those years ago. Can they learn to trust each other or will their pain and pride get in the way?

How lovely! I'm so sorry it has taken me so long to get to your update. My trip to my mother's house was... difficult. I love this chapter! It is so sweet! And I love the ring. This was a beautifully sentimental chapter, and I enjoyed it! The only thing you might want to watch out for is using the phrase "honey eyes" too often. It seemed to pop up quite a bit here. I'm looking forward to reading the last chapter! Peace! ~ jackie

Love your story mistresssnape! Enjoy your allusions to the Phantom of the Opera...its my favorite play as well. I always wanted Christine to end up with the Phantom instead of Rauol...he wasn't as nearly exciting or complicated as the Phantom...so seeing Snape as the Phantom is not that far stretch of the imagination. Hope Hermione can set the record straight with Snape in the next chapter over what happened at the masquerade...thanks.

Thank you! I've always had an affinity for the phantom but Good_Witch beat me to acutally having the Hogwarts crew perform The Phantom. I love her rendition though. I'm like you, I found the Phantom much more intriguing than Rauol. Snape's a lot like the Phantom, I think that's part of why I love him!
Um....I like this story very much, but this chapter...it's kind of awkwardly coded for those of use who use the 800x600 screen resolution. If you could recheck whatever coding you used for line-breaks and reformat it, I know I'd appreciate it, and probably several other readers would, too! Thanks, ~Lotm

I don't really know what to do. I think it's just because It is a rather long chapter. It did the same thing on another site I posted it on.
Aww dats so sad, i've got tears in my eyes, but it was briliant! I'm glad that Hermione managed to tell him how she feels, in a way, and hope that Sev can manage to forgive her. Please update soon, im hooked!

Chapter 5 is in que now. I'm working on chapter 6, but it may take a while.
That was amazing! I laughed, I cried, I never wanted it to end! However, the end was amazing. I have sat here and finished it, much to the dismay of my waiting homework for college. Now I will be up another hour just working on it because you wrote so brilliantly and distracted me! LOL It was definately worth it!

Hi! Someone pointed me towards this fic from LJ and I'm really loving it so far!I noticed that some people have commented that for Hermione to react the way she did was very out of sync and strange. I think I'd have to disagree. Unfortunately, I was once in pretty much that situation, and when someone like Snape confesses their love for an eighteen-year old, the tendency to freak out is like a defense mechanism. So I think Hermione's actions were pretty justified. That said, now that the making-up is done, let's get onto the romance! It is fan fiction, after all, and I do love my Hermione and my Snape!
