I had wondered whether the correct bottle had been grabbed, just as a possible 'bump' to worry about. 
A short chapter might not be as filling, but it can still be satisfying.

Bored and went against my not reading a first chapter of an uncompleted rule. Unfortunatley I really enjoyed it, so now I must wait. Which is why I like to reaed after a few chapters. Think this is going to be a good one. Congratulations.

Loved it. Severus handled the "Ron-is-gone" situation just perfectly: Why spend any time wasted on Ron when there are such more nteresting things to discuss, like school and eachother:-))

Oh dear... Rebound relationships are almost never a good idea. I hope this turns out happy, although I'm sure it will take a while for that to happen. They will probably both regret it in the morning, or she will pass out on his bed before anything happens at all.Interesting beginning. I anxiously await your next chapter.

...the books never mention her excelling particularly at Potions. And couldn't you have tried for something a little more original than Ron being a cheating bastard who ends up with Lavender?

Hermione produced a perfect Polyjuice Potion, in a girls' lavatory, during her second year. I think that would qualify for excelling at Potions. Plus, taking three years worth of extra education under a Potions master would certianly help with her knowledge and talent in said subject. And, if you'll notice, I catagorized the story under AU. Plus, her being in a Potions career puts her close to Severus, which is a major key to the story. As for the Ron/Lavender thing, it seems the most logical course for Ron, which is probably one of the reasons it's used so often in fanfiction writing. Thanks for R&R! =)
What a good start. Too bad too much alcohol acts as a depressant of the sexual act in the male (they tend to go limp) of the species. *grin* Of course, as writers, we can work around that. Can't we, dearie? ^_^

Well, if you are leaving us so you can go off and write more SS/HG, then I guess you may be excused. :) I think this wrapped up quite nicely. I don't know whether to think that she is pregnant and they will have to work through that, or whether they will spend this week becoming fond of the idea of parenthood, only to have their dreams dashed. Of course, that just means they could try again ;)

Typical Snape. Perhaps this approach is best. At some point they can slowly begin to realize that they really like each other - no rebound emotions or alcohol involved - and have a real relationship.I'm sure Ron's reactions to Severus as Hermione's escort will be amusing.
