Oh, I adore Lockhart and Snape together. "I'd like to point out that if I were the next Dark Lord... I would be drinking in a dingy pub with you lot.” (Love it!) And an angry mob wouldn't be an angry mob without the torches, would it? Clearly, they still need to work on their pitchfork retrieval skills. :)

How did they get torches so fast? Do they carry them around with them in case the sudden need for an angry mob comes up? - hee hee :-)

Well, you have to wonder - do they rehearse? Do they get a supply list? "Angry mob checklist... pitchfork... torch... empty glass bottles for throwing..." And really, what, exactly, IS an angry mob going ot do with a pitchfork, exactly?Thanks for the review, I"m glad you enjoyed the story.
It woldn't be a good rumour if there wasn't a pinch of truth in it. Lockhart surely didn't await the arrival of an Angry Mob with Torches.

I love the thought that being chased by an angry mob is somehow a lesser evil than a grinning Lockhart stealing your identity!

The second line had me rolling on the floor "Severus Snape looked up from his firewhiskey, bewildered. " Poor guy, definitely cannot rest on his laurels for more than two seconds at a time. There's always someone new a'hating him!

Bah ha ha! At first I loved the whole mob, who had torches handy just in case, and then you turned it on its ear. Poor Gilderoy.
