I love the idea of this magical Ouija board. My grandmother had one, and when we were little we used to have the best time asking it questions, so this first chapter brings back wonderful memories for me as well as setting the stage for what I expect will be a wonderful story.
Lavender and Parvati are well written as her suite mates and foils to get Hermione to begin thinking seriously about what she has only up till now allowed herself to think of as "wishes." Well done!

I don't usually like stories where Hermione is under aged and paired with Severus. But this one has an intriguing beginning. So I will read on. Please just don't make him a perverted old man. If you write him as the Zonko's game described him, I'll be good with it.
