Yeah, I had to get everybody out of there. I couldn't kill off Severus or Lucius.I'll have another chapter up soon hopefully.

That was a really exciting chapter.My favourite bit that sent a chill down my spine:"Tom began to struggle for air. “You think you’ve suffered? Taunting me, taking bits and pieces of my soul every time I closed my eyes.”“And what have these demons of yours looked like, Tom?” Harry stood then raised his wand and pointed it at Tom’s head. Cold brown eyes looked into Harry’s.“They looked like you, Harry Potter. They looked like you.”“Avada Kedavra!” yelled Harry. A flash of green light illuminated from his wand and engulfed Tom’s entire body."

Hey there! I'm glad that part affected you like that, because I really wanted to get that feeling across to the reader. I think Voldemort sees Harry every time he closes his eyes. I should have made a mention for my Brit readers out there. I made the comparison for two reasons. I believe most little boys at one point like to play at being a cowboy, also in those times Severus' way of dressing now looks like how some men used to dress back in the 1800's. Plus I thought it would be cute having him think he's a cowboy.I'm sorry about the confusion, but I'm glad you enjoyed it despite that.Thanks for reviewing.
There is just something about six-year-old Severus saying "you twisted fuck" that made me choke in laughter. Oh, that and the cute picture of Severus-as-Wyatt-Earp. Excellent chapter.

LOL, oh I know! Can you imagine him going off on someone being the size of a six-year-old? I couldn't help adding the cowboy aspect in here. I got the idea when I remembered how Kurt Russell was dressed in Tombstone. I remember thinking he was dressed like Snape, so I thought it might be a cute thing to do, to have little Severus want to be a cowboy.I'm glad you enjoyed the chapter.

THIS IS JUST GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. I'm itching to see where the twist of the plot will take us. I'm curious as the impact the "rape" will have on the Ginny/Lucius relationship. LOL, I just couldn't resist the comparison! I've got the movie Tombstone and the last time I watched it I thought "Hay, Wyatt Earp is dressed just like Snape!" And he looked so cute in my head as I was writing this.I'm very happy you are enjoying this. Poor Lucius wants to do things differently this time around, and he's forced to rape someone he cares about. But no worries, Ginny's not stupid and she can hear what he's saying to her, so I think she'll give him a chance.
Loved the chapter. Glad Snape got a shot off at Voldie.

Yeah, I hate my Ron too. He's a butt. I'm not really crazy about him in the series either, can you tell? LOL. Lucius is having a rough go in this one, but as always things will work out.Snarry Severus? Did you mean Snarky? LOL, please tell me you meant snarky. I'd hate to think I inadvertantly suggested Snarry here.Since they have been physical I thought it would be natural for Hermione to kiss him, forgetting they are children. LOL, poor Severus was aghast. I think though since Hermione knows it bothers him so, she just might try something like that again.I should have another chapter up before the end of the week.My Easter was nice and quiet. I hope yours was nice too.

LOL, I've been wanting to write that little scene with Severus and Hermione for a while, but I had to wait until they had a physical relationship. I'll have a few more of those little moments in the next chapter. And yes, I know many of time when I've thought the same of Ron in other stories especially in JKR's books.I'm glad I had a new chapter to post. I should have another one up soon. Boy, first I spend days not being able to think of a thing, now my muse can't shut up!

You don't know how happy I am to read this. It makes me feel good to know that because of something I have written you have found this wonderful world of fanfiction. The Long Wait was my first real attempt at a long SS/HG fic. I'd written a one-shot here and there, but TLW as something I hold deep in my heart. Thank you so much for being open to this pairing. It's reviews like yours that keep me going.
The story is building up nicely. I like it even more with every chapter.

Cliffhangers are fun, but I myself hate reading them LOL. I hate to keep people waiting so long for the update so I try to do so quickly.I had to end it there though. I might have written all night if I hadn't.
